Finish Up Friday
I’d love to know 1) What are your key wins for this week? 2) What are you most proud of? 3) What obstacles/challenges did you overcome? Go 💙

I did my local 4 mile turkey trot, goal was 7 flat 28 minutes. I finished 28:14 with 7:03 pace. I had serious imposter syndrome after a relatively poor performance during my week of training but I was able to accomplish my goal and left good doing it.

Got my time of 1:39:55 even though there was some unfortunate issue with my heart rate jumping up right off the bat. Hung in there and dug deep to keep the pace and finish strong with a sprint to the finish line. They had a large bridge crossing with .3 mile of the race and I wasn’t warmed up enough.

Half marathon is this upcoming Sunday and I have been dealing with a glute soreness and sciatic nerve issue that’s really throwing me off. I took 2 runs off and did my “long” 6 mile yesterday. Stretched really good and it feel ok now. I’m going to really spend a lot of time on the floor stretching this whole week to help alleviate it.
Missed long run
I missed my 14 mile run from week 13 of 19 for my garmin half marathon program due to some shoe issue. The program is now tapering me. I’m supposed to run 6 this Sunday (race day is 11/9/25) can I just go out and do the 14 so I don’t feel like I missed that part of the program? I also think this feels early to taper.
