With my back to the wall, Skool may be all I've got...
** I posted this in the Skool Games group, and there were many that were inspired and also some valuable feedback - I think it's valuable to share with the broader Skool Community to hopefully encourage those in a similar position to start their community or get feedback ** Well, shit. When I started my Skool community about a month ago I knew I was pivoting into the online education/information space and would eventually replace my monthly income from detailing cars. But now I have to as it’s my only option, and with my back to the wall I have to go full time and make it work. About 2 weeks ago I started having health issues come on out of nowhere. It started with urinary retention and some leg numbness that sent me to the ER. When I went home over the weekend my arms started to become numb and tingling spread throughout my arms and legs. The left side is definitely weaker than the right. I can’t balance very well at all. If it wasn’t for the right side maintaining strength I wouldn’t be walking. Oddly enough something similar happened 4 years ago but it was just leg weakness and fatigue that had me hospitalized a few days. Nothing since until now. I ended up with a second ED trip and nothing on the MRIs so now I’m unfortunately a victim of the healthcare systems game of waiting for the neurology referral to get me in. In the meantime you can imagine we’re struggling financially. My wife is a nurse but with our 3 kids our rent and bills are substantial. She’s trying to pick up overtime but as you can imagine it’s exhausting for her dealing with the worry and uncertainty over what’s going on with me, driving me to appointments, missing work from the ER visits, etc. I’ve never been the GoFundMe type, I’m a hard worker and have always believed in GoFundYourself. I’ve been selling stuff around the house and detailing supplies trying to make quick money but there’s only so much left to sell. I’ve had a million ideas go through my head - work from home (remote) opportunities, getting a real estate license, starting a marketing agency, and many side hustles I can do that don’t require physical labor. It’s overwhelming and getting into something new takes time to make money and may not be a long term solution here.
