Thank you Johan! I saw smith not right, but could not figured it out, despite and may be because of pure white painting did not look bright to me. I understand now that there is not enough contrast, that makes painting vibrant. Still learning!
On My Easel - Snowy Stream: Colour Study Block-In
Hey Artists I hope you're having a great weekend. I thought I would show you what I am working on right now (see the video below). I'm working on a new painting project and want to show you some of the process. This is also a scene I have painted before, for which there is a painting tutorial in Sam's Art School and the VIP tier here in the Painters Hub. I painted this in 2021, and whilst I was happy with it, I always felt I could have done better. Recently, I stumbled across my reference photos again and thought, "I wonder what this painting would look like if I painted it again." Sometimes I paint landscapes I have painted before because I like to see where I have come from and how much I have progressed in that time. This is one of those paintings. What are you working on right now? Post your art in the comments. Cheers. Sam P.S. Want to improve your landscape painting in 7-days? After watching others painting snow I think I need to rework it , maybe darken shadows on the drifts?

Wow looks so real!
Mixing greens
I have a problem with mixing greens by cad yellow med. The color on the screen is different from mine as one can see on the pictures attached. So the greens are dull. I tried to add Winsor yellow pale and it’s a little better, but I don’t understand why my ultramarine blue + cad yellow med by winsor and newton does not work. Please, advise.

Hello Sam, yes for the quality, I used grumbacher or Windsor & Newton, they appear the same. I looked for Blueridge oils, the price for the paint is similar but shipping cost more than paint itself. I used teal and think it looks better now. Thanks.
