While I'm still without power, that hasn't stopped my YouTube channel. I was officially monetized last Thursday, and I've already started to make money from ads—how crazy is that?! Currently, I'm holed up at my in-laws, allowing me to keep posting videos. Now, I just need to get organized so I can really start rolling! I'm excited to share that I currently have 1,647 subscribers—unbelievable! I also just passed 175,000 views 😱 I'm incredibly grateful.

Just a nudge to remind you (and myself) to focus on what matters. Things like: Understanding your why: why are you doing YouTube Understanding the YouTube platform Figuring out who your ideal subscribers are Learning how to tell a compelling story Learning how to film and edit Remembering to have fun with this creative process Providing value with your work I see a lot of folks worrying about Skool and the leaderboard and as much as I care about building community and having this amazing resource- this platform isn’t really what matters. Consider spending 10% of your time here and the rest focusing on what matters. Don’t get distracted by the dopamine hit that this and every media platform provides to your brain and body. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but my channel has grown by 500 subscribers in just 6 days—bringing the channel to an unreal 1,400 subscribers! 🙌 It’s hard to wrap my head around this kind of growth, and I’m incredibly grateful. But as amazing as this feels, there's a bit of unease right now with Hurricane Milton barreling down on us here in Florida. After weathering Ian a few years back, I'm hopeful we'll come out okay again, but I can’t help feeling like my good fortune might be running out. Fingers crossed we stay safe, and I’m planning to batch out some videos on a schedule to keep the momentum going—don’t want to mess up those numbers! Stay safe out there! 💪🔨
