Bruv first off, its your job to improve upon the outreach you send to prospects. We can only give you the necessary feedback. And this right here ain't it... Extremely shallow compliments, raising their sales guard by saying "dont worry, its free 🤓" and lastly you haven't given them any solid reason as to why it'd be worth it to cooperate with you.. Provide value up front by saying you’vedone your research and prepared something that could potentially help them achieve [Insert goal].
Review this and drop yours
Just freestyled this out of my brain, Let me know how this is and drop yours: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18PNc2TjiDIqRc841jfxQ9AWYw0BXRDcF6Deo9pdxZkk/edit?usp=sharing

It's good but it's fairytale copy. You're not wriring it based on a prospect's brand voice, which kinda beats the purpose. But it reads and flows well, though a couple adjustments could take it up a notch.
Questions for myself and the newbies
Discretion: None of my intentions in this post is to trash talk anybody (Tyson included) YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER ALL (but it would be nice to have the answers to all) 1. Was copywriting easier or harder then you expected? 2. Which free value is better or when is each more applicable, a) vid intro b) critique/loom c) replying to story 3. Correct me if I am wrong but... Smaller biz check insta DM's and large corporate biz check emails 4. How should I price my services. 5. Does scaling mean increasing price/charging more or getting more clients 6. How much clients does it take to earn around 10k (including the fact that you started off little, looking for answers from personal expieriences!) 7. How useful/effective is Insta dm 8. What's the hardest part in your expierience 9. Average time you spent on copywriting starting out 10. Anything that you object to to any of tyson's value 11. How much people should I outreach to 12. How do y'all organize your clients (especially in prospecting and outreaching faze) 13. Any advice to give me as a person still in school? (other than focus on my studies, nuh uh 😁)

1. Harder 2. Making looms and creating audits for potential clients is quite valuable, as long as it's done properly and establishes your offer in the end. 3. Usually, yes. 4. Up to you and your skill level. Also depends on the project. E.g. a promo email sequence would cost far less than a setup of an entire funnel, or a landing page 5. Both but depends on context. If you have one client, ideally you'd want to do both. If you have 4 paying clients and fear that an additional client would be hard to fulfill, then "scaling" would mean upselling to the ones you already have. Or leveraging contractor arbitrage and handing out work for others to fulfill for you. 6. Haven't reached 10k, but there's probably no right answer here. 7. Very. As long as you're not relying on templates and come off as authentic 8. Sticking to consistent outreach 9. Over 6 hours, attempting to learn as much as possible all at once 10. - 11. many*. Starting out aim for 10 qualified prospects and focus on building genuine connection. 12. Simple google sheets like these: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1z5y8sTC9Mw8Hj9QInoSIgCXTC8EGTaDD6Ryb-Thtx7Y/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qIy_c1lhtQYBN2QRDEBOK7zSIJQJdcukPRngEAU-Xj4/edit?usp=sharing 13. Define your objectives with full clarity. Take some time to learn the fundamentals of copywriting if it interests you before diving deeper into the more complex elements. Commit to one "heavy" task each day that drives you forward and takes you a step closer in getting your first paying client. (could be optimizing your account, creating free value for prospects, improving your skills, sales call roleplays etc..) Hope these helped!
What to respond?
I wrote a free landing page for this guy as free value, and he responded with this. Not sure what to respond because should even copywriters build websites? 💀 Either he's confused or I am. What to do?

If he's engaging in conversation that's a good sign. So just kindly tell him that what he's asking for isn't your expertise, and then instantly double down on what you could offer him instead, whether that be a brand new landing page for his program and make sure to package that as an irresistible offer while you're at it. Sending him a short loom video explaining your offer would help a lot in this case
