How I Pulled All 3 Credit Bureau Reports Online using an ITIN
Just pulled my tri-bureau scores this week — actually. My ITIN was issued in December and my first CC with ITIN was 2 month ago in March. Quick note on the numbers: VantageScore 3.0, not FICO 8 or 9 (what most banks actually use). The underlying report is accurate; just a different scoring model. The point of pulling these is knowing where you stand at each bureau so you can apply with intent and avoid unnecessary denials. And being able to pull Experian and TU instantly online is a game changer. Here's the playbook that's actually worked for me: • MyFreeScoreNow — accepts ITIN, refreshes all 3 bureaus daily. Heads-up: $1 non-refundable activation fee for a 7-day trial, then it converts to paid if you don't cancel. Best single tool I've found even with the cost. • Nav.com — how I get my Experian report online with an ITIN (Experian.com doesn't accept ITIN at signup; their only direct route is calling for a paper report). • MyEquifax — pulls all 3, but only Equifax refreshes daily. Experian and TU update once a year there. Pro tip: if equifax.com rejects you online, message them on X — they sort it fast. - Some other tools that pulls Equifax report/score are: Tru, CreditKarma, MyFicoScore (Free plan) What doesn't work: MyFico's 2/3-bureau products (can't authenticate ITIN against Experian or TransUnion), and AnnualCreditReport.com online (mail-in only). Curious what others here are using — has anyone found a way to get Experian or TransUnion online without going through Nav, or MyFreeScoreNow?

@Maria Caceres Hello Maria, Thanks for your helpfulness! I see exactly this box after I click the link for authentication, which can be sent to SMS or email. After clicking OK the box is gone, but nothing else can be done besides a new attempt to connect to going back to main menu. I entered all information correctly, entered ITIN, Phone, email, address exactly as it is reported by card issuers, exactly as the US mailing address on my ITIN notice is written. As I mentioned: I think that there is an underlying problem with Equifax. Thank you!

@Claude T Thanks so much for your time and effort! As you wrote "They then reach out by email requesting you to confirm your ID (Name, DOB, address, ITIN) + provide proof of the same." -> That's what the agent said on the phone. So, i will now gather all requested documents and send copies over them via mail. Do you guys think, a birth certificate is really necessary? (would me take some weeks to receive that) Is it negative, if the ITIN CP565 shows a different address than the US mailing address, which all banks and cards use? THANK YOU!
Cap one was restricted now got verified.
my cap one card was restricted a while back as they asked me for my US ID. I just paid the card in full and then had some balance on the account . I didnt wanna close the card as it was my oldest card. Yesterday, I just called cap one fraud dept out of nowhere and asked if they could release the restriction and the lady said she could do it with passport. She sent me two links and then I uploaded my passport on both links and got verified. Later that day, I recieved a call from cap one again and then they asked for proof of residency. No lease, Nothing else than Internet, gas, Electricity bill or trash company's one. Luckily my address guy provided me xfinity internet bill and I was able to verify my account. Now its working well.

ok. so probably they will do the same with me one day :( Did you pick up your card from the US and used it with their airkey verification? Thats their main trigger for fraud checks i guess, because with that check they always see if one holds the cards in its own hands

airkey they call their infamous verification tool where you have to tap your Capital One card to the NFC reader of your phone
Two Cards, Zero Fees, Infinite Miles
The Capital One Savor and Venture X combo is one of the most underrated. Two cards. Nearly zero effective cost. And a ton of travel miles stacking up every month. Here is how it works. The Savor Card - $0 annual fee This is the sleeper hit. No annual fee, and you earn 3X miles on dining and groceries. That covers the two categories most people spend the most on every single month. On its own, the Saver earns cash back. Solid. But when you pair it with the Venture X, something interesting happens. The Venture X - effectively $95, not $395 On first glance, the Venture X looks like a $395 annual fee card. But you get a $300 annual travel credit that reimburses you for any travel booked through the card. Plane tickets, bus tickets, hotels. It triggers automatically. That brings your real cost down to $95 a year. Then Capital One also gives you 10,000 bonus miles every year on your anniversary date, starting after the first renewal. At a conservative 1 cent per mile, that is $100 in value. So you are effectively holding the Venture X for free while also holding the Saver for free. Why the combo matters When both cards sit in the same Capital One account, you can convert your Saver cash back into Venture X miles. This is the superpower. Your Saver earns 3X on dining and groceries. Your Venture X earns 2X on everything else. All of it pools into one miles balance you can redeem for travel. No category juggling. No rotating calendars. Just two cards covering almost every dollar you spend. Why this matters for Cloud Residents Capital One is ITIN-friendly and comes with NO foreign transaction fee. If you are building your US credit profile as a non-resident, this combo is worth planning toward. You do not need to be a US citizen or hold a green card to get these cards. You need a solid credit history, an ITIN, and a strategy. A two-card setup that costs nearly nothing and earns travel miles on every purchase is exactly the kind of stack that builds long-term value while you establish your US credit file.

@Tasos P No Capital One card has Foreign Transaction Fees. But consider, what i wrote - especially about verification and foreign use at POS

@Tasos P In that case you would then need to take over the phone and number from the US friend :) I think its more feasible to just pick up the card when one travels to the US
BofA automatic limit increase after ITIN added 1/2 year later
Had the secured Travel Rewards Card with 500 USD security opened seven months ago. Added the ITIN last week at branch and today surprisingly got an automatic limit increase to….. 700 USD with no additional deposit required 🤣 Still there is the 500 USD deposit (the banker said it usually takes a year to release the deposit and changes from secured to unsecured) Congratulations! Your credit limit has been increased. Because you've managed your credit wisely, the credit line on your account ending in xxx is being increased. What you need to know - Your total credit line has increased from $500.00 to $700. - Your cash credit line is $200. - Your account number is staying the same, so you can continue to use your current card(s). - There's no additional security deposit needed. - We'll periodically review your account and, based on your overall credit history (including your account with us and other credit cards and loans), you may qualify to have your security deposit returned. Not all customers will qualify.

going into the right direction, even when it's probably not the big step you hoped for! Congrats! When opening the card, did you hear about the possibility to later change the secured Travel Rewards card to an unsecured one without new hard inquiry? Can you assume, what credit age/score would be necessary to be approved for an unsecured Travel Rewards together with a new bank account? Thx

So an unsecured card is just the secured card without fixed deposit? Hmm, thats possible. Didn't see it this way.
Effect of the address shown on the ITIN CP565?
I had a discussion with friends about the situation, that I applied for my ITIN once with my European address. Since the notice letter did not arrive after weeks, i called IRS and they told me the ITIN and we arranged a new delivery of the ITIN notice to my US mailing address which worked flawlessly. This US mailing address I used beforehand already for my first US credit card at AMEX (via Global Transfer). I used later only the ITIN notice with the US mailing address because i wanted to mitigate risks (unnecessary questions in the US and probably KYC problems in Europe). --> I am now curious about your experiences and the opinion of the experts here. Is it better to have the US address written on the ITIN notice - to not provoke questions by underwriters , probably the US address would even be bonus as another "proof of address" ? Thanks for your answers and participation!

@Stefan S That was very smart of you, using your US address as mailing address for the ITIN :) I did it otherwise, so my CP565 now has a European address written on it

Thanks :) i learnt all this during last 10 weeks :) I changed the mailing address to the US address for the first time via phone March 2nd and was told "letter will arrive within a week". then called again 2 weeks later ("may take 2 weeks can be two weeks"). 3 weeks later an agent said "oh i see there was a mistake. I'll re-issue a new one") In the meantime i registered for IRS.gov via ID.me in my desperation because i hoped to see the notice there. Nope - not such ones will be available online. After i checked irs.gov for the first time i received a letter from the IRS - Yay! after opening the envelope the misery kicked in: It was just a notice that I accessed my irs.gov account... In the meantime , my friend, whose US address i use, moved (within the same neighborhood). So last Thursday I called the IRS again (2.5 hours waiting in line, while before US Tax day April 15, i had to wait 0-15 min) and requested another change of address and again requested a letter. I just hope, that now the letter arrives ;) (If not i will send a 8822- update through the online IRS account is not possible) Thank you! LG
