Resolve 21 Is Here (Beta) ๐Ÿ‘€
Just dropping this in here for you guys, Resolve 21 is officially out in beta, and thereโ€™s actually a lot in this update. I grabbed two solid videos that break everything down so you can skim through the features and see what actually matters without wasting time digging through release notes. A few things that stood out to me right away: - AI IntelliSearch โ†’ being able to search clips by whatโ€™s in them (objects, faces, dialogue) is a big workflow shift - AI Cine Focus โ†’ finally a blur tool that actually looks natural and handles edges well - Speech Generator โ†’ built-in text-to-speech with custom voice options, more useful than I expected for small fixes - Magic Mask caching โ†’ not having to re-track masks every time is a legit quality of life win - New Photo Page โ†’ full photo workflow inside Resolve, feels like theyโ€™re pushing toward replacing Lightroom Thereโ€™s also a bunch of smaller quality-of-life stuff that honestly adds up more than the headline features. Quick heads up, though, this is beta. Expect bugs, and donโ€™t throw it on a critical project without backing things up first. Go check out the videos and see what stands out to you. Curious what you guys actually think is useful vs just new and shiny ๐Ÿ‘‡

I've updated to 21 and some presets are not working right. For example, I got few from Stirling Supply and when I try to add them from the Edit page Davinci only lets me to add it to the timeline as a Fusion Composition on top of the clip instead of applying it in the clip as it should be. Any ideas on how to solve this problem for this and other presets ?

@Andrew Farmer Just found the newbie mistake. While trying to organize the presets in folders I had put them in the Generator folder instead of the Effects folder ๐Ÿคง
A few shortcuts worth stealing ๐Ÿ˜Š
Hey, just wanted to share something I watched this week. Greg put out a video on 6 keyboard shortcuts in Resolve that genuinely speed things up. Nothing fancy. Just the kind of stuff that saves seconds over and over again until your edit feels smoother. If youโ€™re newer to Resolve, this is the kind of video that helps things feel less clunky. The playhead jump shortcut alone is worth it. And the ripple trim ones can seriously cut down your A-roll time. Also, Iโ€™ve bought Gregโ€™s presets before, and theyโ€™ve helped me a lot when editing client work. Clean, practical stuff. Iโ€™ll link those too in case you want to check them out. Get Greg's Presets Definitely worth subscribing to his channel. He teaches in a really clear, practical way. Iโ€™ll probably share a few more of his videos over the next couple of weeks that I think would be helpful for this group. If you watch it, let me know which shortcut youโ€™re going to try first.
