๐ŸŽฅ Calm Collective Replay: Structure Creates Calm
If you missed todayโ€™s session, this one matters. We broke down how to build real calm through structure, not hope. Crate at night. Place bed during the day. Clear routines that lower arousal and build impulse control. We covered: โ€ข Why some dogs never truly switch off โ€ข How overnight crate sleep resets the nervous system โ€ข How daytime place work teaches calm around real life โ€ข The difference between tiring a dog out and teaching them to regulate โ€ข What to do when protest barking, restlessness, or pushback shows up This wasnโ€™t about quick fixes. It was about building an environment where calm becomes predictable. If your dog paces, barks, struggles to settle, or feels constantly โ€œon,โ€ this replay will give you a simple, structured plan to start immediately. Watch the replay, apply the 7 day plan, and then drop your questions below. Calm is built through repetition. Letโ€™s tighten it up this week. ๐Ÿพ

Hi, this week I've felt a shift in Maizie a little & even the slightest improvements make a huge difference to our day. If you've seen my comments previously or know Maizie you'll understand just how much this means to us as she's always been so over excitable, very poor impulse control, a lead puller, nervous, anxious, a jumper, barker etc etc. Lol ๐Ÿคฃ & often I've felt drained & overwhelmed but this week at 9 months old we have finally seen more calm, improvements with impulse control, definitely improving with place especially in the kitchen & duration, less having to reward with treats all the time & more engaging with me. Obviously still a huge work in progress especially with the jumping, barking, anxiousness in new places & lead pulling but I feel a slight relief there is a light at the end of the tunnel. ๐Ÿคฃ Just wanted to share this & thank all you wonderful Walkys team that have helped us along the way & continue to support us, as without you I would of given her up, now I definitely see a brighter future together with her. Thaaaanks ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜Š

Toilet training help?
Hey Team! Weโ€™ve been trying to retrain Thor to go to the toilet in the yard since weโ€™ve moved. Doing what Nathan suggested with taking him to the toilet, asking him to go, if he doesnโ€™t do it, getting him to drink some water and putting him back in the crate for a while and repeating until he wees. Yesterday he didnโ€™t do it and after trying from 7am-2:30pm (took him in and out of the crate about 6-8 times, and then left him outside from 1-2:30pm to see if heโ€™d go โ€” he did not) and then I felt bad he had not gone to the toilet so I took him out the front where I knew heโ€™d go and he only did a small one (thinking he genuinely may have not needed to go). Tried again this morning, weโ€™ve gone between yard and crate 5 times (I thought maybe more frequently taking him in and out could be better), but I feel heโ€™s cottoned on to the process and he just sits on the grass, and now he wonโ€™t drink water when I offer it to him and he is just walking straight into he crate like heโ€™s happy to be there (previously he wouldnโ€™t love going in there without treats, kong or bribes when weโ€™d put him in to leave the house) ๐Ÿซ  I am starting to go insane because itโ€™s so simple in theory but he is 100% being stubborn and refusing! Any advice, suggestions or just hope that he will actually do it??? Or is this something that will take longer than a few days to master? ๐Ÿ˜… P.S itโ€™s Tiana (accidentally accepted the invite to Skool on Jarrodโ€™s account lol)

๐ŸŒžSunny found her forever home ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿก
This morning we sent the beautiful Sunny off to her new forever home๐Ÿ’Œ. Her lovely new family have changed her name to Wilma, which suits her beautifully. Off she went with a spring in her step and jumped in car. Its always bittersweet saying goodbye to foster pups but she will be in great hands and has been an absolute pleasure to see grow over the last few weeks. I have welcomed the family to join Skool to ask any questions over the first month of her settling in. Lets support them along this journey.
Do you have multiple dogs?
Walking multiple dogs is an art- itโ€™s just not put 2 dogs together and walk- impulse control is accountable for many different aspects of your dogs life.

@Jennifer Mcfarlane you will see behaviour changes when she is coming into heat yes, just monitor it and see, walking alongside other dogs helps build confidence but she needs to be able to do it solo also of course.
