“Touch” recall
Hi guys, anyone got any tips to strengthen the “touch” recall training? Really enjoying this one and it works for us. Bodhi, being a dachshund sometimes nails it quickly and other times acts like he’s got no idea lol. I’m also curious to know how anyone else with a daschund successfully stops the inside barking (I’m aware of their nature!) and jumping off things?

Not sure what to answer first. Bodhi is a boy and he’s 4.5 months old. He’s my second daschund after my beautiful Daisy girl passed. I’m used to them lol. I have a ramp for him and I’m trying to form good habits re barking nice and early, but yeah… they will be daschunds! Just wondered if anyone had succeeded re touch/barking! He’s very good with his crate, sleeps there all tucked in quietly each night and the other night I let him sleep on the bed - he then went back to the crate no dramas no sure how I managed that!

@Maria Sirianni thank you miss her every day. I got a waiver form signed for IVDD and delayed de-sexing for my pet insurance and enrolled him in to school as early as I could no stone unturned lol. I just want to try to my best to not having a barking machine and the touch re call works so well for him. I like the idea of using that one in situations where listening is hard lol 😂 he’s also going through a pretty big fear phase at the moment too so listening can be on or off and nothing in between!
