New Year Resolution
I resolve to continue a lifelong pattern of personal development. One aspect of this journey (for me) will be to internalize the universal truths Russell discusses and develop these skills to help others and literally make the world a better place. Some of the language around the “dark arts” of persuasion is calculated to seem secretive and mysterious, whereas the same content can be viewed as a powerful framework for good - one followed by many revered figures in history. Joseph Campbell refers to the hero’s journey, but we’ve all seen or heard tales of great people who invoke followership (or even follower-worship) by inspiring greater goodness if not outright greatness in others. Think of ancient thinkers, prophets, or leaders like Moses, Solomon, Confucius, Christ, Gandhi, Mandela, Lincoln, King, Kennedy, as a start. Vic Frankl and Napoleon Hill in their way too. Each used a similar approach to captivate and motivate people to follow their example, and enrich the lives of others much as their own were elevated by enhanced enlightenment and intentional living. I see a similar potential inside the process Russell describes for “selling” stuff. 1. Origin Story - How you discovered X 2. Strategy - What has to be done 3. Tactics - How to do “it” 4. Offer & Close - Value Stack The Big Domino idea - followed by evaporation of roadblocks related to specific vehicle, internal, and external concerns, supported by credible case studies/social proof, and triggered by a clear call to action with perceived alignment to a desired outcome. I note from the materials here: - People seek Transformation not Information - Confession - recognition and acceptance of imperfection coupled with absolution and permission to alter their circumstances and achieve their greatest desires BY doing what you want them to do. - This is the Pied Piper pattern - something you can use to lead people to heroic heights or into foolish behaviours. How you use it is a reflection of what you are. How I want to use it is to amplify a lifetime of work that can significantly reshape the relationship between society, worldwide food production, by supercharging healthy land, people, and nature based businesses that all rely on universal principles of ecology, economics, and behaviour.

Your Definite Purpose
"All success begins with definiteness of purpose, with a clear picture in your mind of precisely what you want in life." - Napoleon Hill Hey Everyone!!! I hope you're doing great today. I wanted to jump in and bring up question that I believe is the key to unlocking your success in any area of your life. It's what Napoleon Hill would call your "Definite Purpose." I posted a video below from me talking about discovering your Definite Purpose. Step #1 - Please take 2 minutes and watch the video right now Step #2 - Take some time to write out your Definite Purpose, and post it in the comments below. Step #3 - Read other people's Definite Purposes, and drop them some feedback and encouragement! Thanks everyone!! Russell Brunson P.S. - Here are some other AMAZING related Napoleon Hill quotes to help inspire your as you define your definite purpose: =========== "I don’t know why it is that when a man decides what he wants, the whole universe seems to come to his aid to see that he gets it." - Napoleon Hill =========== "The principle of psychology through which you can impress your definite chief aim upon your subconscious mind is called Autosuggestion, or suggestion which you repeatedly make to yourself. It is a degree of self-hypnotism…" - Napoleon Hill =========== "There is no hope of success for the person who does not have a central purpose, or definite goal at which to aim. Ninety-eight out of every hundred of those whom I have analyzed, had no such aim. Perhaps this was the major cause of their failure." - Napoleon Hill =========== "Set your mind on a definite goal and observe how quickly the world stands aside to let you pass." - Napoleon Hill =========== "There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge. Both poverty and riches are the offspring of thought." - Napoleon Hill =========== "Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything." - Napoleon Hill

@Kavosh Tabar if you were near enough you could hear two hands clapping. Well stated. Now to the doing of it. Right left right left one in front of the other. Don’t be afraid to skip a day - but if you do, use it to recharge not revert or reverse.

@Claudia Granger I completely agree. Its the art of keeping $-denominated outcomes on the sidelines as arbitrary milestones - important checkpoints and validation that society appreciates one’s contributions, but not by themselves THE point. Sure, I know my burn rate and minimum reserve. It’s not a motivator for me though as I have enough assets and passive value growth to fund a comfortable retirement now. But I’m keen to keep creating value and aiding others for a long time yet. My problem is that I’ve seen immense waste and inefficiency when people focus one-dimensionally on a surrogate measurement (lbs lost, lbs gained, production volume, gross revenue, NOI, etc.). I’m extra sensitive to the topic because I often work alongside philanthropically funded entities, frequently producing vastly better social and environmental results while also generating cash flow, instead of consuming it in the process of fundraising for more donations driven by artificial crises and targeted dollar amounts linked to “success” but actually uncorrelated to it. Hope that makes sense.

@Ron Mora What a great skill combo to have - IT + Real Estate + Finance. My Venn is light on the IT side but robust on diversified RE-based development and resident operating businesses (mostly ag, but other enterprise types as well). Love the Phoenix area. Have you landed on specifically what you want to do now or still sorting out the details?

@Sabine Bendenoun Interesting life if only 1/3 is true. Sounds like we share an affinity for international experience and animals/agriculture no matter which 2 are true. Best wishes in your journey to empower others.

IN. But a long way from all-in. Starting with trying to figure out Skool and how the whole thing works, then looking forward to learning how to tread water in a safe space before diving deep in the open ocean. Just being real. New things take time for me. But I’ve also jumped off a few cliffs and bridges and completed a few aerials before splashdown. It isn’t always perfect (and has hurt a bit at times), but getting better and making it safe for others to follow sometimes has rewards that justify the effort and occasional injuries.
