Pinned Post Update 😅 - Video Working Now...
Thanks for all the comments and opinions shared yesterday! I’ve attached a video with my take on the conversation as well as an update on how I’ll be handling pinned posts in the future. 😊 Looking forward to connecting with you all in our last PERSONALS Meet and Greet of 2025 tomorrow! 😊 We’re recording what you do and how you help people with your skills, talents, and expertise, and the recording will be shared with the whole group! Thanks again for helping me think this through. I always appreciate the input of the group. 😊

Nice take on it @Shannon Boyer - looking forward to seeing what happens next year.
Would This Be of Value to You???
The very first day I had the idea for this community, I thought that I would make it possible for people to purchase a pinned post. Then, I started running the community and became a pin hog and felt like I couldn't give up the premium real estate. I wanted everyone who was new to see the Start Here post, and I wanted everyone in the community to see important notifications and hashtag days. But more and more people have been asking for the ability to get their posts pinned to the top for a certain length of time. I also want to keep some of the pinned posts because I think they are important for setting the tone of the community and keeping you apprised of important information, but if I could open up one pinned post spot, what would it be worth to you to have that spot for 48 hours (if anything)? Just to be clear - you would write the post and I would pin it. It would not be coming directly from me. Also please note that if you give a masterclass in the community (as a premium member), I will create my own post promoting your masterclass. Please vote and then share your comments below:

@Danielle Wright playing devils advocate everyone says they hate adds but their behaviour shows something billions of dollars different… why did classifieds and other ads ever start and keep going? Because sure it’s helpful for a plumber to find new customers by advertising but if you need a plumber, a job, a new home, a great community etc seeing an ad is a godsend! That’s why I love ads - and why so many online businesses use them. @Shannon Boyer

@Shannon Boyer thanks!
#FriendFriday
Get your typing fingers ready.... it's Friend Friday!!!! That means that IN THE COMMENTS BELOW, you get to shout out a group that has provided value to you or that you think others would benefit from. But don't just drop a link, give us some context. Let us know what it's amazing, how it has helped you, or what type of person it's meant for. Then tag the person or send them a DM to let them know that you mentioned them here! You'll make their weeking - I promise. 😊 Unfortunately, shoutouts that are posted in the main feed will be deleted. Have a great weekend!

@Kathy Roberts glad it was useful - Rachel really knows her stuff. Beware though she has lots of imitators on TikTok. This is her account: https://www.tiktok.com/@digitalroadtoriches?_r=1&_t=ZS-92BwdTJX7FF

@Melissa Boster well done!
Hard Work Produces Profit
Is as much a myth as Cinderella... a lovely story we like to tell ourselves and others. But the truth is poor people are working a lot harder just to survive than the billionaires who are sitting on a stage chatting about their enormous wealth. They don't make prisoners work hard because they think it will make them rich. Hard work is a punishment to your body and soul. Onliners is a community for women over 50 who are ready to stop working hard at what not's working, and start making money online doing what they love. We make it simple, fun and fast. And we'd love to have you join us. >> Click here: https://www.skool.com/onliners-9041/about?ref=9872a2d3a5dc4e429f2ba983e2beede9 #MondayMythBuster

@Shannon Boyer Yeah - you're right - I think people's concepts of "work" vary widely! When I was on holidays in the Maldives I was talking to some of the locals and they thought all the tourists were MAD - because they worked hard to get money and then spent their money going to the Maldives for a week or two before they went home to work again ... the islanders were like if I want a drink the coconut tree gives me a drink and a snack, if I want fish I just go to the sea and get what I want etc... they expect something for nothing all the time ... oxygen, sunshine, water, a cool breeze, food, a swim - play is a big part of their day - they spend time with their family and live so relaxed they don't need to spend thousands on expensive vacations. Still they were saying the younger generations are starting to leave because they see things on social media they want to buy. I think sometimes we forget that we are given so much for nothing and it doesn't hurt to meditate on that every now and again and believe that lots of things can come easily to us without any work and can actually feel like play or even a miracle! On the other extreme if you stop and meditate on all the work required just to give you breakfast each morning - a chicken farmer who feed the chickens and collected the eggs and cleaned them and the cardboard manufacturer who made the carton he packs them into and the printer who puts the logo on the cartons, and the truck driver who transported them to the warehouse that distributed it to the supermarket worker who put them on the shelf to the chekcout chick who charged you at the cash register, to the person who mined the metals and the designed and manufacturer who made your cutlery and .... there's so much work but it's all made easy for us to take for granted. I really like the advice to "work hard at what you find easy" - I think that's a nice balance.

@Shannon Boyer yeah, "enough" is another one of those concepts that vary widely ;-)

@Shannon Boyer @Lauren Kinghorn I also moved around a lot in my childhood and love most changes. I really surprise myself when something changes and I don't like it!
