I love how you pause and give context to the discussion. great structure for this video! was literally just talking with someone on friday who made me realize i haven't seen many monarch butterflies in a long time. and that they were everywhere most of my childhood.

@Jef Taylor yes, i have a tough time listening to people in general. im quirky and picky, and find that most people trying to share info/teach, don't really do it to my style. i get "bored" in ways, and detach, it can happen in a matter of seconds. first reel i saw of hers, i was hooked for the entire couple/few minutes. soaked it up like a sponge from start to finish, and that is because she structures what she conveys in such a way, her verbiage and vernacular keep me engaged. i tend to pick one person per topic i'm learning on, she's become my person for plant foraging for sure.

Alaska: bike one day, snow the next
Hey guys, I've been laying low, recovering from surgeries done on my right hand & elbow. I had planted a TON of seeds before my surgery date, so now I'm taking care of seedlings & sprouts & plants. 😁🌱🌿 the bell flower seeds I foraged last year only sprouted yesterday! Such patience! I love seeing everyone's real spring pics! It's been melting SO MUCH up here lately, I love it! The streets and sidewalks are mostly clear! ❤️ So, I took the kids biking yesterday, one-handed for the most part, which kinked out my hips, but it was totally worth it. We all felt the breeze & freedom that comes with biking! I also saw green clovers popping up!! ☘️☘️ later that evening, I noticed the raised beds were nearly clear of snow!! Aaaaaaaand it's snowing this morning. 🌨 Of course the kids are bummed, but I told them it would melt. Continued why's get the "because we're in Alaska. April is guaranteed snow showers, May is maybe." For the gardeners, if we didn't get to the beds yesterday (One neighbor had hers cleaned up!), we've gotta wait another few days. P.S. I've been keeping up with my journal, even left-handed for a few pages. Our sunset is at 9:15pm today! Curious to hear other sunset times! 🌞

Alaska has been my dream! Also hoping for a speedy recovery. lots of experience with surgery recovery, for sure one of the areas that has pushed me into plants as medicine.

@Drea Glanowski same! first hospital visit was age 2, had a head injury requiring stiches, which required a papoose, because i was a fiery soul in pain. since then, it's been recurring injuries and medical treatment, for sports injuries, work related injuries, and recreational injuries/accidents. decades of it, i began to learn how our "healthcare system's" "medicine" was actually ruining me worse than the injuries. led me into a holistic/naturopath understanding. i've been seeking herbal remedies exclusively since 2015. this is why i've entered this group, i'd like to begin to find my own medicines. thankful for you all, and @Melanie Weird 's incredible knowledge she shares.
