What if โmidlifeโ didnโt start at 45โฆ but at 36?
With life expectancy in the U.S. around 72โ74, that means real midlife is closer to 36โ38. That hit me hard when I thought about it. It made me realize: so many of us wait until โsomedayโ โ retirement, when the kids are grown, when life feels more stable โ to finally start living, creating, and taking care of our health. But what if weโre waiting so long that we run out of time, energy, or freedom to enjoy it? Iโve seen how weโre trained into the script: school, career, family, house, debt, repeat. And somewhere along the way, creativity, fun, and joy get replaced with stress and survival. But what if we flipped that? What if today was the time to start living fully โ to create joy, to color outside the lines, to care for our health and passions now, not later? Question for you:If today is your real life (not the rehearsal), whatโs one thing youโd do differently starting this week?
