Also curious... what brought you here? Stress, sleep, focus, health, or something else?

I’m from Tassie originally, grew up there until my early 20’s have moved around a fair bit over the years and Sunny Coast is now home. Currently living in Golden Beach with my wife and two young boys and we’re loving it. I came here to this space in need of a circuit breaker/shift because for the first time in my adult life (I’m 42) this last year or so I haven’t felt like I’ve had my normal capacity to deal with life’s challenges and I’ve consistently been feeling overwhelmed. It comes out in my mood, low energy, irritability, the way I sometimes speak to my wife, react to my kids etc, I know it’s not the best version of myself but I can’t control it, I’ve read books and learnt the scripts but I keep reacting in ways I don’t like, and I can’t accept that as the norm. I feel like I’m stuck in fight or flight/survival mode so I’ve started a journey to self-educate and try to understand more about nervous system regulation. Implementing daily practices to slow things down, increase awareness of my state of mind and widen my window of tolerance seems like a worthwhile endevour to me. I want to be able to model regulation to my boys so they know what right looks like. This (and feeling better within myself of course) is why I’m here. A Slightly Delayed Post
Monday marked the end of the 21-Day Reset for those who started with the group. I had planned to post earlier, but my little boy has been unwell and we’ve spent a bit of time in hospital this week. Needless to say sleep has been a little scarce. But I didn’t want the moment to pass without saying well done to everyone who showed up for the 21 days. 👏 The reset is intentionally simple, but that’s the whole point. Small practices, repeated daily, can make a big difference over time. If you completed it, or even just engaged with parts of it, I’d love to hear from you. What did you notice over the 21 days? • Better sleep? • Feeling a little calmer? • More awareness of your breathing? • More time outside or grounded? Drop a comment below and let the community know how you went. Your experience might encourage someone else who’s just getting started Nice work everyone 👌

Hi Zac (and everyone), the 21 day challenge was great for introducing the small daily practices which definitely helped me have greater awareness of my breathing and general well being overall. I found ‘stacking’ some of the habits worked really well (I.e. combining grounding with time in nature with a breathing flow etc) the doco open up my eyes to how little time I spend grounded, these small habits are so simple yet important (therefore worthwhile) so I’ve continuing beyond the 21-days and they will be practised daily ongoing. I acknowledge consistency is where the magic will happen. I’m at the start of my and nervous system education journey and your content Zac (and the Grounded workshop which I really enjoyed) have been a great place for me to start! Thanks for the work you are doing with this forum/community.
