Stop watching educational videos (my story)
For years, I’ve been watching educational videos on YouTube thinking that I’m at least utilising my time the right way. Learning things about business, psychology, spirituality, and the likes thereof. But refrained from watching ‘fun videos’ because that’s not productive, right? At least I’m not wasting any time watching educational videos, right? Little did I know that I was actually draining all of my time watching these so-called educational videos. Because whenever I watched these videos for motivation, I only got motivated to watch another video instead of doing the work. Whenever I tried to watch them in my free time where I needed to relax, they had so much information that I used to get a headache. And I was just stacking more knowledge and information in my brain without taking action which led me to a severe analysis paralysis state. It wasn’t that I didn’t know what to do. In fact, I knew exactly what actions or steps I needed to take that would propel me towards my goals. But I just couldn’t take the first step. Sometimes delaying those actions for weeks even. This made me so guilty and made things worse. And the only way to numb myself from this guilt was to watch more videos because I wanna learn more, right? This is the never-ending loop most people are stuck in. (and I was surely guilty of it too) And most people won’t tell you to drop the habit of watching educational videos. Why? Because most people have to sell you something with those educational videos. And if your favourite guru starts telling you to stop doing that, how can they profit off of you? Another terrible t thing I’ve noticed from my own experience is that whenever I watched educational content without taking much action… I always believed that there was something missing from me. That I lacked some sort of life-changing knowledge. That I needed to learn a little more. And maybe the next video might contain the knowledge that would finally change my life for good.

What Do You Want To Leave Behind In 2025? 🗑️
2025 has just left us and transitioned into 2026. With a new year, we usually take some time to reflect back on the memories, think about the mistakes, and focus on how we can improve ourselves. And it’s typically only a few habits or patterns (1-5) that occurred frequently throughout the year, which ended up holding us back from making progress. For some, it’s knowing exactly what to do but putting it off. For others, it’s spending too much time on things that feel productive but don’t actually move anything forward. What are the top three habits/patterns in your life that you know that, once changed, would drastically improve your growth? (more brownie points if you identify 5 of them 🍫)

@Elly Nanis everyone has their battles but people tend to hide them from the world. I've fought demons for months on end, battling depression. Overthinking to the point where I couldn't sleep. People's sarcastic remarks kept spiralling in my head to the point it was suffocating for me to breath within my own body. Even used to talk to myself just to cope. After a lot of trial and errors, finally that phase is over. What demons are you currently fighting (feel free to share me in the DMs since that'd more of a safer space)
I Moved Out. Here's What The Moving Process Taught Me.
This week I moved to a different apartment. It was under construction for a long time (over 2 years) And we finally got the chance to move in. The thing was…we decided to move all the stuff gradually over a week Because this apartment is near our old place, and we didn’t want to speedrun the moving process in a day or two. So, this week when I was moving out from my old apartment… I noticed that I couldn’t stay on my goals. The thing was…my old apartment was a mess (literally because every closet was emptied and the items were placed on the floor) There was noise everywhere. Helpers were going back and forth. And the place felt like a messy dorm room. I just needed peace and silence. And I couldn’t get myself to do anything at all. My brain went blank when I thought about ideas. All I did was take client calls, but I still noticed I was delivering like I used to. And now that I’m writing this in a peaceful environment where a lot of the items have been put into their places and my room’s complete… I can feel the high-performance mode being activated. And my ruthless self is gradually coming back. This made me realize how important it is to have an environment that allows you to lock in on autopilot. An environment that allows you to think clearly. An environment that has everything in one place. An environment that really brings out the highest level of entrepreneur from within you. Most of us think about every other factor to improve our business… But they neglect the one thing where they actually run their business from: their workspace. This could be your desk, your setup, or your complete room. If you have children crying, construction going on, or have phones constantly going off. Or if your desk is cluttered and there are items, plates, and leftover food packets on it. Or if your entire room is messy and your bed isn’t made. Sorry to say, but you can’t function with 100% capacity. You’re limited to utilizing only 40-50% of your potential.

Staying Silent On Group Calls Is The Easiest Way To Lose
I’ve seen so many people hop on group calls who stay quiet the entire time. “Oh, but I’m absorbing the information.” That’s the excuse they give. But deep down they don’t feel good enough to speak up… Especially when there’s someone with a higher status than them. They act like side characters you see in movies who’re forgotten right after the movie ends… And they’re literally closing the door that might contain all the things you want. And this has been going on for quite a lot of time for them. WITHOUT any change. This quote is true: Closed mouths don’t get fed. No wonder their business isn’t growing at the rate at which it should grow. So, what’s the solution for this? It’s a simple one. Speak up. Speak up even if it feels cringe. Speak up even if your heart starts pounding & your body starts to shake. Speak up even if your inner critic mocks you to the point where you can’t take it anymore. Speak up and get it done with. You’ll be surprised how difficult your mind made it to be when you held it back. “Oh, but I’m quietly absorbing the information.” Yes, you have to absorb all the information & even take notes. But not asking questions that might change your entire life…isn’t a smart move. All the millionaires & successful people have once been where you are right now. But the only difference was that they willingly stomped on that sneaky thing called ego. And they were willing to ask the questions that ended up changing their lives. Every student who grew up to be an influential mentor was a product of their questions. That's the secret to speedrunning your progress. And potentially speedrunning your bank account.
