Reading a Script
Hi All! Does anyone have any tips for reading a script and making it look very natural? I don't usually like to use scripts. But it does make the recording process smoother and faster. I used a script in my latest video but I do need to get better at reading it like I'm not reading it !! Thanks :)

@Mariska Angenent short cuts for making a good script. I don't have any short cuts, I'll usually rewrite the script or edit it many times before I shoot a video. Developing a system will help.
Having a posting schedule
Is it better to schedule when video's go live, or just post them as they're ready?

If you just started your channel, prioritize publishing content. Once you’ve reached roughly 50 videos and established an audience, shift your focus to consistency. My approach is to schedule long-form videos for regularity, while posting shorts instantly to capture momentum.

Tips! 💡
TV Changes IMPORTANT
Wow, YouTube is making some subtle changes in the background. Channel stats and other information have a quietly changed in the smartphone view. However, one of the biggest changes I noticed was on the television. A new description TAB has been added to the TV, see my photo below. However, what is really important is that when you click on this tab the first few lines of your video description are visible (see photo below). Why is this important? Because if you have a bunch of filler or hashtags or other things at the top of your video description that’s what people are gonna see when they click on the description on a TV. For me, it’s a reminder to always make the first sentence or two really powerful for the video.

About 90% of my YT viewing is on my TV. This change was very helpful. Thanks Mike.
1,000 Subscribers!
After over 1 year of consistent weekly uploads, I've reached 1,000 subscribers. I just want to thank @Alexa Saarenoja for starting this group when she did. I was lucky enough to find her channel way back before she was monetized and was inspired to take the plunge into YouTube because of something she said. I believe that with persistence and patience, it is possible to grow your channel and find your audience. Although I am on the slow growth path, I'm building my channel in a way that feels authentic to me. Thank you--especially to the people who were with me in that first cohort of this group. So many of you were instrumental at that time. You shared your perspective and expertise and you helped me to have the audacity to think I could do this. I will always be grateful for that. 💚

Congratulations 🎊 well deserved. 👏
YouTube is Pushing Shorts
YouTube wants long form creators to make Shorts. YouTube congratulated me basically just because I released 5 Shorts because I had to miss a week from long form content on my channel and the footage was already pieces of my long form posted content already. Strange because YouTube has never congratulated my long form content?

Did you-tube's encouragement work, are you posting more shorts? 🤔
