Just started an Astronomy channel 3 days ago! Could you check my accent and give some honest feedback?

Hey everyone, I launched a new YouTube channel in the Astronomy niche just 3 days ago. Since my target audience is primarily in the US and Western countries, I want to make sure my voiceover is clear and easy to follow. Could you take a quick look at one of my videos and let me know if my accent is easy to understand? I would also highly appreciate any harsh critiques or advice on how I can improve the video quality, pacing, or storytelling. Thank you so much for your time!

I'll admit that at first it was hard to understand, but I put on the auto captions and it understood what you said beautifully and I was able to watch and learn. Someone said don't use the whiteboard, but I disagree with that. Doing animations would be a lot of extra work and I think the whiteboard gives you a lot of credibility, because you're explaining it from what you know. *** I decided to go back to your channel and look at a few more videos. I love the way you started your most recent video that talks about "The terrifying reason we haven't seen aliens." I can see a big improvement in your on-camera presence from the earlier videos. I think if you continue to work on your communication, as it relates to your English accent and simplifying complex ideas even more, you will do well. Good luck!

I watched the video linked. I resonate with what Dr. Saundra says. One other thing is the framing. I think you need a bit more of your upper body in the frame if possible. You may need to move the camera back just a little bit. If you move it back too far, it's pretty easy to crop in if you need to. If that happens, I recommend cropping the whole video before you start cutting. (I found this out the hard way! 🤣 It's much harder to frame each clip if you cut first, imo.) I asked ChatGPT to give me an example optimal framing for a 16x9 YouTube video. This is the picture it made for me.

Would You Like a Preview of the Creators Sidekick App I'm Building

Hi Brains Trust, As you probably know by now I'm building the Creators Sidekick App for YT Creators and am wondering whether you would like a preview of the app built to date. Please note: the app is still not finished however, a lot of the tools are in place. If you are interested in a behind the scenes looksee, I'm happy to set up a Google Meet and share the link in this chat. I'm so excited with how the app is coming along. Penny for your thoughts. (PS As I live in Aussie Land I"m a tad bit unsure what the time zones will be like. However I could set it up for say evening New York time as I'm a relatively night owl type of person.) UPDATE: Thank you all for being interested in participating in a live preview of the Creators Sidekick app developed thus far. I've now set the date. Tuesday 16th June 2026 8.30PM for USA creators and 7.30pm for Texas ; Ontario Canada is I think around 8.30pm which is Wednesday 17th June 2026 10.30am for Aussie (WA 8.30am). Because of a creator's request to record the preview, I've set up a 14 day free trial with Google Workspace. Hence, yea, will be able to record the meeting.
