I Came Back With a Backpack Full Of Interviews
Hi BTٍE ! I was away for three weeks, and during that time I was studying. I passed my final engineering exam, and in the next few months, I’ll receive my license and officially become a Canadian Engineer as my honor. This system has truly amazed me 💜 I believe that I am doing my bit very well in accordance with coach @Alex B's courses! Once I finished my exam this week, I immediately started communicating with the people who had accepted my connection requests two weeks ago. As a result, I managed to secure three interviews from those two with recruiters and one with a hiring manager panel of four. All of them were pleased with how the interviews went, and each of the roles offered a salary above $130K. My final interview this week was yesterday with AECON. They mentioned they would get back to me within the next couple of weeks and asked about my availability. I told them one month. I also asked what they would expect me to accomplish in the first few months if I were hired. Their response was: training, building communication with colleagues and managers, and maintaining punctuality. The department director added that if I’m selected, an HR representative will contact me to go over details regarding benefits, compensation, the work environment, and more. I’m very optimistic about landing this job, but I’ll continue pursuing more interviews next week ...

Wow 💜, what a beautiful place you’ve gone to, @Alex B ! Have an amazing time, and take a shot on my behalf too! I couldn’t make it to this live call either, but I watched it tonight and really enjoyed the energy from all of you. I hope to see you next week. There’s just one thing I want to mention: Iranians are just as good as any other nationality. We Iranians even love to support each other; I can see it around here in Toronto, but unfortunately, we were never taught how. This goes back to the culture and the way we were raised. From childhood, no one taught us what teamwork is, how to help one another, or how to genuinely care about each other. We were never taught how to love; instead, we were taught how to undercut each other and while they taught us not to want happiness for others. so the result shouldn’t surprise us. We can’t expect a peach pit to grow into a cherry tree; it will tell you, I was taught to be a peach, but you know what, we are going to be transformed in a least period of time, then to be updated as other nations did, and to have ourselves back in the free world we are living in. I have a close Indian friend who said 100-110 years ago, once their ancestors emigrated, they had the same problem in Canada, but over time, they decided to change the track, because they had no other choice to survive, grow and build a better life. There is a lot that can be said about this topic, but overall, it has become something painful for Iranians, as I know and see everywhere. Finally, at some point, it needs to flip and end and has to be replaced with looking out for one another and cooperation. The good news is that our generations are totally different from the past ones, and we have already started by learning how to have each other’s backs, and then teaching the next generations so they don’t turn out the same, and instead support one another. That’s the least we can do.

@Sheida Qmarc Thanks for sharing this. Personally, I believe we should be grateful to Coach @Alex B for creating such a great community where we can easily share ideas, help one another learn and grow, and live with a positive mindset 💜 Most importantly, we understand each other’s purposes, opinions, and ideas, and then we use them to grow. unlikely, though other communities end up being completely different and lacking real purpose.

AI technology has changed my life totally. Every day, I look for ways to use this amazing tool to the fullest. About a month ago, I realized that during my workday, which is around 9 to 11 hours, I have to read a lot of reports and guidelines, watch a few recordings and listen to many recorded audio files from meetings with clients and PMs, even reading the software tutorials/manuals and create summaries. I also need to review junior engineers’ reports, review and revise them, and send them to the client. Over the past month, I had to read two very thick books, around 1,000 pages in total, for a difficult exam. I thought to myself: I’m getting a lot of stress; I don’t have time for all this. What should I do? So, I Googled, and I found this wonderful tool: https://notebooklm.google/ It helped me so much. You might not believe it, but it completed six months’ worth of work for me in just one month. I fell in love with it, and I’m sharing it here in case it can help you too. Within its website overview, you can see this text: Upload PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, audio files, Google Docs, Google Slides and more, and NotebookLM will summarize them and make interesting connections between topics. I have been using this for a month and got a lot of results. Working with this tool is very simple; you just need to upload your video, YouTube link, documents, text, audio file, slide, website URL, and so on, then get your summaries in flow charts, slides, flash cards, text, overviews, etc. Just take a look at it and enjoy.
