Ants!
I'm needing the garden gurus! I just found ants in a raised beds. While its not many yet, I want them gone. We have fireants here and While they can be somewhat controlled, its absolutely impossible to eradicate them completely. This is my ashwagandha and next to the tulsi!

We generally don't like ants inside the house, outside they're part of the ecosystem, just like bricks that make a house , if you don't like one group of building blocks, unless its near the edge, you make a big disturbance removing it.

Hot water pressure washers are use by municipal authorities to kill weeds on sidewalks, most towns/cities in France are now Chemical free maintenance (they do make exceptions for notifiable weeds, like Japanese knotweed.).
Layers
Soil is part of a group of materials covering our planet, these include in order ; base rock, subsoil , soil, decomposed organic matter and organic materials. The top 3 interest us the most. What is the best ratio of, Soil: compost: mulch? Also what is the difference between ,soil compost, and mulch or are these the same thing in transition? (Rock+organic materials+microbiology= soil)

@Dennis Wichter text book définition of loam is equal parts sand ,silt ,clay and assumes it's held together with humus. Now when no till is becoming more common, a perfect soil that was once considered to be loam (often made by staking old pasture turf for 18 months) is perhaps surpassed by a layered growing medium ?
How do you store your seeds?
I know this topic has been discussed before, but I think it’s great to hear what works for everyone. I used to keep my seeds randomly in a large envelope or ziplock bag. But when I started gardening again, I realized I like to be able to see my collection. I put everything in old binders with card sleeves. I chose categories that worked for me (Alliums, Brassicas, Flowers, Fruit, Herbs, etc.) I then heard about using an inventory sheet, and that was just the best thing I added. The most important part being expiration dates on the inventory sheet! So now I can look for my oldest seeds on the sheet without having to look at each and every envelope. How do you store your seeds? What didn’t work for you? Please share with pictures!

I keep my seeds in a wooden box in the workshop, it is where the humidity and temperature is stable. There sorted into groups leaf, flowers, roots and tender(which includes fruit). At the end of a season all the packets with just a small bit of seed left , I'll mix together and use as part of a green manure mix. My own collected seed I'll keep in jars with a tiny breather hole in the lid

Increasing Bacteria
Question @Dennis Wichter Is the fungal-dominant and bacterial-dominant two different ecosystems... Would increasing bacteria tend to increased the bacteria predators cycling more life and nutrients in the soil without affecting the fungal world?

@John Craig I wonder how long on adverage the butterfly effect lasts before it peaters out. Or is it a perpetual energy?

@Jim Flach I know perpetual energy is the holy grail of sustainability, is a closed loop system possible ?
