Post Your Breath Hold (Week 49: Dec 1st - Dec 8th)
Post all your Breath Hold Times here! Let's go & double your breath hold! ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ In light of Stig helping legendary freediving Alexey Molchanov grab a new WR, how long can a world champion hold their breath? The answer: 8 minutes and 33 seconds. Yes, I think it will take us some time to get there. ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐—ก๐—ฒ๐˜„ ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ? Here is how it works: Step 1: Take an inhale, start your stopwatch & hold your breath. Step 2: Post your time here, get feedback and points Step 3: Head on over to the Classroom & follow the instructions Let's go & double your breath hold! ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ

@Alaa Refaat Well done Alaa โ€“ I thought a 15 sec recovery on a 3 min dive was pushing it โ€“ but you are strong on this type of CO2 and O2 tables

When the contractions hit, how do you even stay relaxed? @Mark DePonzi is asking the right questions. Staying calm when the going gets tough needs a little bit more. Enter imagery. A study shows that motor imagery has a positive impact on breath hold times. How would this look in practice? You wouldn't expect it: it is imaging that you are breathing. Sensing the motions of taking a normal breath. During your hold. The golden ticket to a new personal best? Let us know ๐Ÿ‘‡

@Sven Kรถpke This was week 5 of a planned 8 to10 week breath work program to get ready for our summer season - and I hope some nice snorkel dives โ€“ I always plan my training in blocks of 8 to 10 weeks โ€“ or else I feel it is just exercise with no plan to progress
