Will a GBP appear for searches close to the business when the service area is much wider?
Hi ! If a business specifies in their GBP that their service area is nation wide, does their GBP have a good chance of appearing when someone physically close to their location searches for their service (assuming the GBP is well optimized for that service)? For my agency, my GBP doesn't show up when I search for terms such as "digital marketing". I am wondering if it's because my service area is all of Canada and the USA, but I don't show my location because I work from home.

Even with your address hidden, you should still be able to show up provided your GBP is well-optimized, compared to the competition. You can also use a map rank tracking tool like local falcon to see your rankings vs your competitors and you'll also get insights and what changes you can make to your GBP to increase your rankings.
