WOK WOK WOKING continued
Hey all, the response about a wok has been extremely well received, so I was asked about what we can do with a wokand what type to buy.. So here's some pointers 1. Don't buy an expensive one for now, a cheap one at your local supermarket will do. 2. Get a non stick one 3. Don't get a big wok nothing more than 10 inches / 25 cm ,I would even go less depending on the size of your family. 4. If you don't cook with gas get a flat based one and even an induction base. What one can do with a Wok... Sooooo many tings...things..🤣🤣 1. Quick healthy Stir Fries - fresh vegetables 2. Fried Noodles with vegetables 3. Stir Fried Meats 4. Deep Frying ( Tempura Vegetables, All proteins) 5. Fried Rice with varies toppings, vegetable, proteins 6. Steaming - Steamed Vegetables, Fish and other proteins. 7. Soups as well. 8. Panfried dishes - Steaks, Chicken, Fish So lots and lots of versatile dishes can be prepared in a wok... Does anyone have a affiliated link for Amazon, perhaps you can share a link of a 'entry level Wok' Hope this helps.... Will discuss what other kitchen utensils ones needs as well...but most people should have that already...

I'm taking notes and browsing local e-commerce stores. Your recommendation is very helpful and much appreciated. Especially about just buying a simple one in the beginning. It's very good, thank you 🙏

@Oliver Wing Yeah I think for most of us who don't know woks that well think that we have to buy an expensive one for it to be good. Like how we do it with pans. So it's good to hear opinion of a chef 😄
Happy Friday Community...
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. This is what I'm doing at the moment...Sweet & Sour Chicken.....in the rain

@Oliver Wing Ok, interesting. Will take a look
Salt vs Black Pepper
I'm using salt and regular black pepper everyday, and I always wonder - is it universally agreed that one of them is better than the other? That if you could only have 1, there is a clear winner between them? @Oliver Wing Can you provide a take from chef's perspective? If I had to guess - it's salt. But I had to personally only live with one, it would be pepper because I like it more.
