Your AI Built Funnel Is Silently Losing You Money
It has never been easier to ship a funnel, deploy a feature, or stand up a new revenue path. AI drafts the copy in minutes. A VA or another AI agent assembles the page. Someone else connects Stripe, configures the automations, and pushes traffic live. What used to take days of focused effort can now happen in an afternoon.. or minutes. You did not touch half of it. That is leverage. It is also exposure. When I used to build everything myself, I felt every break almost instantly. If a webhook failed, I saw it. If a page slowed down, I noticed the lag. If a form stopped submitting correctly, I experienced the friction firsthand. Proximity created awareness. I was close enough to the system to sense when something drifted out of alignment. Now velocity is higher, and the distance between decision and execution is wider. The first signal of failure often appears as a number on a dashboard. Conversion rate softens slightly. Cost per lead creeps upward. Revenue comes in lighter than expected. By the time you pause long enough to investigate, the leak has already compounded. Money has already flowed through a broken path. Automation amplifies output. It also amplifies entropy. Every additional tool, agent, and delegated hand introduces another potential failure mode. Permissions expire quietly. APIs change their behavior. Scripts conflict with each other. Redirects stack and add latency. Small degradations accumulate in ways that do not trigger alarms, but absolutely affect performance. The deeper question is not whether automation is good. It clearly is. The question is this: If you are doing less of the work yourself in the future, will you need less monitoring or more? When direct control decreases, validation has to increase. When you no longer feel every break in your hands, you need instrumentation to feel it for you. Uptime needs to be verified consistently, not assumed because it worked yesterday. Speed needs to be measured against real thresholds, not judged by intuition. User journeys need to be executed and confirmed, not trusted because someone said they tested it. Revenue needs to be checked against expectation so that anomalies surface early instead of after the damage compounds.

The point @James Curran you made about Automation and Instrumentation for verification and monitoring is so valid. AI Solutions are assumed to be so smart as to be able to detect these leaks but we often forget they are software solutions, that need to be prompted for these actions. Reminds me of the fact that every solution creates its own problems. Love your insights
PERFECTION DELAYS TRUTH
"It's not ready yet." That sentence can quietly eat months of your life. Perfection feels responsible. Like you're being thorough, professional, setting yourself up for success. But a lot of the time, it's just fear of feedback dressed up as standards. Imperfect offers that are out in the world get data. Data becomes improvement. Polished drafts sitting in a private folder become nothing. What would actually happen if you launched before you felt ready?

@Viola J. Goff Totally agree. Perfection has kept me from never starting but wanting to get it right before I start. However it’s the imperfections that create the belief because no one is really perfect.
