Understanding "Purchase" vs. "Conversions" in Google Ads?
Hey everyone, I’m running some Performance Max campaigns and have set "Purchase" as my account’s default goal conversion for all PM campaigns. However, I’ve noticed some discrepancies between "Conversions" and "Purchase" metrics in my reports. 1. How is "Purchase" different from "Conversions" in Google Ads? 2. Why is there a difference in the reported values of Conversions and Purchases? 3. I even have one campaign where there are 34.25 Conversions, but 0 Purchases—why could this be happening? 4. Also, why do I see decimal values for "Purchase" and "Conversions" instead of whole numbers? @Austin LeClear @Stephen Gache @Steve Cox @Mushfiq Khan @KLee Terrazas

1. Purchase tracks only purchase transactions, while conversions include all types of conversion actions. 2. Differences arise because "Conversions" account for all conversion actions, different attribution models, and reporting lags. 3. 34.25 Conversions, 0 Purchases, this happens when the campaign generates other conversion types but no purchases, possibly due to how conversions are attributed. 4. Modeled conversions and fractional attribution can result in decimal values for these metrics. I hope it might help you
Live event
There is a live event happening right now I was hoping I can join but I don't see a link for it. Or it's only allowing me to join if I pay?

Long Tail Broad Match Keywords
Hello Guys. I'm a beginner in Google Ads. I want to know if, for a local service business (like pest control), I should target a very specific long-tail keyword (eg: pest control dallas tx) under a broad match type with low competition. And if I optimize with a very tight negative keyword list to avoid irrelevant searches, will it help my campaign get more clicks, high CTR, and low CPC? To conclude, either very intent-specific long tail Broad match keyword or Exact/Phrase match keyword, with targeted location (eg: dallas tx) along with a tight negative list
