4 contributions to High Intensity Business (Free)
I'm 38. Here's my accomplishments:
Forgive me for self-aggrandising for a moment... - Sold over $10M in contract revenue during my IT sales career. - Founded the HIB Podcast (formerly Corporate Warrior): 542 episodes, 1.3M+ downloads, and a 4.85 rating from 126 reviews. - Co-founded Optima Strength and sold 76 virtual and in-person training memberships at $376/mo average. - Recruited and developed a world-class trainer who still delivers exceptional retention and referrals to this day. - Helped 41 strength training businesses add $12,000โ€“$58,480/month in revenue (that I can verify). And on top of all thatโ€ฆ I have a wonderful wife and two gorgeous children who bring me more joy than anything else in the world. Next up: Helping 5 personal strength training business owners add $12,000 to $58,480/mo to their business. Click here to apply.

Quickly showing a client progress
When we have a new client increase strength on a movement substantially (+-40%), we will have them do their initial weight they started with right after their set. They are often very happily surprised and remark on it later. Granted lifting a lighter weight after a heavier weight makes the lighter weight feel even lighter (post-activation potentiation Iโ€™ve read) but it really drives the progress home. Here is an example where a client started with 140lbs on a movement and just did a set of 240lbs. Right after doing that set, we say stay there, change the weight and then have them do a few reps of 140lbs. Others may already do this or something like it but for those that donโ€™tโ€ฆmight be useful, fun and maybe add to retention.

Unearthing your Core Values: A Practical Guide
When helping clients implement EOS (a wonderful operating system for managing growth), Iโ€™ve noticed that defining Core Values is often one of the hardest exercises. Itโ€™s not for lack of effortโ€”itโ€™s because the process requires deep introspection and a level of clarity thatโ€™s challenging to achieve. What Are Core Values? At their core (pun intended), Core Values are fundamental beliefs. Theyโ€™re encoded in your DNA, representing the principles you live and operate by, almost without thinking. Theyโ€™re not aspirational ideals but inherent truths about who you are and what drives you. Theyโ€™re the default behaviors and principles that guide you when no one is watching. When implementing EOS in your business, you and your team undergo this exercise to uncover the Core Values of your organization. These values then become the foundation for critical decisions: you hire, fire, review, reward, and recognize team members based on them. They are the bedrock of a strong culture and, ultimately, a great business. Why Defining Core Values Is Difficult Defining Core Values is tough for a couple of reasons: 1. Avoiding โ€œPermission to Playโ€ Values Values like hard work, integrity, or caring are non-negotiablesโ€”theyโ€™re expected of anyone in a professional environment. While important, these arenโ€™t unique to you or your organization. Theyโ€™re the bare minimum, not what sets you apart. 2. Steering Clear of Technical Work Core Values should reflect how you operate, not what you do. For example, if you run a high-intensity strength training business, "practicing high-intensity training" isnโ€™t a Core Value. Itโ€™s a method or technical skill, not a guiding principle. Because of these challenges, many people struggle to articulate their Core Values in a way that feels both authentic and actionable. But Iโ€™ve discovered a method to make this process much easier. Enter ChatGPT: Your Core Value Discovery Partner Recently, I turned to ChatGPT for help. I asked: "Iโ€™m trying to figure out my core values. Can you ask me questions to discover them and codify them? Before we start, they canโ€™t be permission-to-play values (expected, like โ€˜integrityโ€™)."

Hey everyone, new here. Nick a New Zealander living in North Berwick Scotland. Thinking about opening a new gym and was connected with Lawrence from a mutual friend. Currently I run a digital marketing agency but would like my own gym, mostly as I am the busy professional who would like this facility.
