I truly wish we would all recognize one another as SOULS, but until that time, self-love has to take its place uppermost in consciousness. This is true for all people, and especially for us Blacks of African descent who were brought West from the East. There is a corner, shadow, covered recess, broken branch of self knowledge that effectively removes the 100% acceptance of ourselves that would qualify as self-love. Defeating and sabotage behaviors reveal this “missing”, and healing it is a prerequisite or at least parallel track to self-healing as taught in HealMobile courses. Something about....I can be my true self. LinkedIn feels a bit too aspirational and PROfessional. I retired from all that! Instagram feels flighty as all get-out, to the extent I want to RUN FAST from nonsense that pops up. YouTube feels like a final frontier, i.e., when I grow up I wanna be like the tubers I see on there. Really nourishing tubers. I'm already there and inconsistently so. We're headed for change! Everything requires so much preparation and when I learn the rules, they change them. This is what happened with Facebook. I have a personal and "pro" page, with 2 different Messengers. And Substack, new-ish for me and another "wanna be when I grow" TOWARDS not up. It's what it looks like to feel free to muse on paper - electronically - full time, something like Medium, which I don't follow anymore and I'm not sure why. Here, I'm bumping up against the need to support myself post-retirement from a j.o.b. that did serve a good purpose. I give thanks to GodAlmighty for that. Evidently, and I'm not surprised, NOW is my time to release, relax, reset, and be the creative Work of ART that I claim for others. Work-in-progress never ends AND IS ALWAYS WORK. I recently attended Niamo's presentation about Reiki and other healing techniques. I am in the process of launching my remote Reiki practice and in preparation have referred to her book about the healing arts, titled Light on Reiki and Neo-African Mysticism. Throughout the book she offers her unique point of view and shares her extensive knowledge. Additionally, she points out the commonalities found in ancient healing practices, whether they're in African,, Asian, and/or Indigenous traditions.. She encourages us to regularly practice self-healing as a way of keeping aligned and balanced. When we do so, we are replenishing our energy and so making a positive difference in ourselves, those around us, and the world. Healing the healer is important and necessary work Thank you!
