Some new Pick-ups
Thanks to @Ben E and a split, I am now the owner of 10ml of the new Louis Vuitton: Ambre Levant, pretty excited to wear this. Sephora now has Borntostandout and I picked up a traveler of this sweet/musky scent. This is probably all I will need. It’s unique and weird so I will have to wear for special occasions, but it’s pretty good. I will give updates after full wears. Stay smelling good my brothers.

SOTD: Birthday Dinner Version Night Out Electimuss Astrum Nova.
Took this out for a birthday dinner and it fit the vibe perfectly. It comes off smooth, slightly sweet, and refined with that polished Electimuss feel—nothing harsh, just well-blended from start to finish. There’s a richness to it that feels dressed-up without being heavy, so it works great for a night setting without overwhelming the room. I’ll be honest—I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist all night. It just has that addictive pull where you keep going back in for another hit. Performance: Longevity was strong—easily carried through the whole dinner and beyond. Projection sat right in that sweet spot: noticeable in close quarters without blasting the table. Sillage was clean and upscale, leaving a subtle but classy trail. Settles into a smooth skin scent late, but still very present.

This is want i definitely need in my life
Bal D'Afrique by Byredo
As I kicked off my week, I decided to sample my 10 ml miniature of Bal D'Afrique by Byredo. Here's my take after a day of wear. Upon the initial spritz, I was greeted with a refreshing blend of citrusy and light sweetness combined with a hint of floral notes. The opening is vibrant and lively—perfect for those hot days when you want to keep things light. However, after about five minutes, I began to detect a woody and slightly musky undertone that mingled with the initial florals. Unfortunately, the performance of this fragrance left much to be desired. I could appreciate its presence in the air for the first 20 minutes, but after that, I had to bring my arm to my nose just to pick it up. By the two-hour mark, it had completely vanished. Overall, I have to say the longevity is disappointing; I was not particularly impressed. On the bright side, Bal D'Afrique does possess a clean and pleasant scent. It would make a suitable choice for an office setting, especially in workplaces that lean towards more subtle fragrances. However, I personally find it a bit too simple and soft for my taste. Interestingly, my wife really enjoys it and it seems to work wonderfully with her skin chemistry, which I can appreciate. The scent definitely has a professional and understated quality to it. If you're someone who appreciates a clean and subtle aroma, you might find this fragrance to be a great fit. For me, though, it's too faint to be a go-to scent, so I'll stick with my small bottle and won't be pursuing a full-size version.

Amazing scent, I recommend the Absolu.
SOTD MICHAEL MALUL ARASHI REEF
Arashi Reef comes off like a modern tropical aquatic that’s built to be easy, clean, and mass appealing. Right from the opening you get a burst of juicy fruit—there’s a noticeable tropical sweetness mixed with citrus that gives it a bright, almost vacation-type vibe. It doesn’t go overly sugary though; it stays pretty balanced and fresh. As it settles, the scent leans more into that aquatic territory. There’s a light floral touch in the background, but overall it’s about that clean, breezy “ocean air” feel. It never gets heavy or dense—everything stays smooth and easygoing. The drydown is where it simplifies even more. You’re left with a musky, slightly woody base with that familiar ambroxan clean skin scent. It’s the kind of dry down that just smells fresh and put-together without trying too hard. Performance is about what you’d expect from this style. You’ll get a few hours of solid projection early on, then it sits to the skin. Not a beast, but not weak either—just very wearable. In Arizona heat, this is right at home. It’s the type of fragrance you can throw on in the morning and not worry about it becoming too much as the day heats up. Very safe, very versatile, very easy to wear. Overall, Arashi Reef isn’t doing anything groundbreaking, but it doesn’t need to. It’s a clean, tropical freshie that does exactly what it’s supposed to do—smell good, feel refreshing, and be easy to reach for. If you’re looking for complexity or uniqueness, this isn’t it. But if you want something effortless for hot weather, this hits the mark.
