This class has so much great information! 💜The takeaway: the five finger trick were the starting note at thumb and the fifth note in the scale is the pinky. That is actually incredibly helpful. It's a quick way to figure out if two notes will sound good together. 🧡Second is the pivot note being C. This makes so much sense since C goes with many other bowls. I discovered this playing daily and I'm happy to have a word for it! ❤️Thank you for the practice set lists this is a great starting point to play with what you have. I'm enjoying this practice! 💚Question: How long should an average sound bath be when playing for others. Is there a specific length it takes to get to theta.

@Janet Kraft Janet, I know 100% that Kalee is going to go over this but I wanted to give you a quick answer because you asked the question and I know that answer!! and the answer is.... sound baths / Sound Journeys are typically an hour.... an hour and a half and even 2 hours, but longer than that and people either space-out, get bored and feel they've had enough. It's kind of like going into a steam room, a sauna, a hot tub or a massage session. Are you really going to go in there for 3 or 4 hours?! You're going to be a big lump of jelly when you come out, so it's "a session," and there's an introduction, a middle and an ending. Ideally it takes an hour and a lot of times, you're doing a sound bath after you've advertised it and you have to tell people the times: it starts at 7:00 at night and you'll be out of there by 8:00 or 8:15 at the latest. Same thing when you're doing a Sound Bath in a corporate setting because these days, people are so stressed and focused.... they'll have a branch of their HR department that focuses on wellness for their employees, and it's also a bonding event for their employees = building teams. So you'll have some office, no matter what they're selling or researching or building and there's going to be a time slot and it could be half an hour or 45 minutes, an hour.... that's generally what's going on. They've got to get these people back to work and then suppose it's a 2:00-3:00 slot in the afternoon and it's over at 2:45 and then the next one starts at 3:00. So you've got to get the people in and out and that's how it can be structured. This was a great question! You're doing great because I can see you making progress, so keep asking questions = that's how you learn... AND, you open a space for other people to learn through this dialogue.

Ah ha.... @Janet Kraft I just re-read your question and you wanted to know how fast does a person get into subtle states..... your question was, "is there a specific length of time in order to get into Theta?" It can happen instantaneously but it's nice to have an introduction and it settles people down and that can be 10 to 15 minutes.
Why meditate at the same time, same place for your daily meditations?
This question came up and Kalee asked me to answer it for everyone. The goal of meditation is to change our state of consciousness and experience the fourth major state of consciousness, which we can call transcending or transcendental consciousness. Each state of consciousness has a corresponding neurophysiology, so deep sleep has very specific characteristics... unique respiration, brainwave activity, skin resistance..... and is totally different from dreaming sleep, and is totally different from the waking state and totally different from transcendental consciousness. It is through this continuous alternation between our waking, dreaming and sleeping (our normal lives) and the transcending of our meditation.... this alternating back and forth, day after day, year after year that eventually creates a fifth state of consciousness which is where transcending has become permanently established through waking, dreaming & sleeping. So there's always a bit of transcending going on. That fifth state we can call "Cosmic Consciousness" or "CC" but that's actually not enlightenment! Enlightenment is much more than that.... and the subject for another discussion. Meanwhile the question came up about why it's valuable and important... even essential to meditate at the same time, in the same place every day. There's a lot of reasons why, but most importantly it's for our comfort. Our physiology craves routine and experience shows that when you have a routine.... something inside you relaxes and makes everything easier. So you wake up early and preferably without an alarm, you'll take care of your morning bathroom needs and have your shower and then you start your meditation before activity, before breakfast. Ideally you have a place that you've set up where you won't be disturbed, and people in your household know not to bother you for some time.... 20 minutes or whatever your meditation time is, and you put your phone on airplane mode and you go deep inside. If you try that in a public place where random things can happen, and somebody jostles you on your bus ride where you're trying to meditate or there's too many random sounds or music or you don't feel comfortable even closing your eyes in public..... it's just not as easy to experience clear transcending.

@Marie Aydogan The key point is that we meditate BEFORE activity and there's so many ways to explain this. The idea is, that we rest and then we go into activity.... in the same way that an arrow is pulled back on the bow and it's at rest and then you release the arrow and it flies..... so this is the essential concept: rest comes before activity..... rest is the BASIS of activity.

Lesson 1 Week 1 Prompts
1. My biggest takeaways from lesson 1 are all about sound healing being about the practitioner’s state of being. Sound healing is about frequency which can get so high that it turns into light and color. Working with sound opens intuition, gifts, higher states of consciousness. Meditating with sound bowls could bring up lower emotions or feelings but it is transmuting them to light so have the listeners open and allow it. Detox symptoms may occur and it’s important to stay hydrated with water.💧Sound can alter brain wave states but it cannot force a brain wave state. Sound puts people into the frequency of miraculous healing. 🌸🌻 2. This is important for sound healers to learn because doing it incorrectly can create disharmony and we always want to use the bowls for healing and coherence. The singing bowls are beings of light so having proper intention and focus allows all beings to benefit from the sound and light. ✨⭐️ 3. I would like to learn more about the miraculous healing that can occur. Do people immediately feel a shift of well-being or does it take time? Did the woman who had the goddess enter and heal her immediately feel the healing? If it takes time, is there a recommended number of one on one sessions to help heal a person? 🩵 ☀️

Dr. Deepak Chopra wrote a book called "Quantum Healing" about the fact of documented cases where terminal patients had spontaneous remissions. And in just about every case, the person reported a religious-type experience where they felt Infinity and bliss, and they described how their consciousness expanded. I met Dr Chopra and I quoted Ravi Shankar to him who said, "I have come to believe that sound is God," and Dr. Chopra hugged me and said "Yes yes! that's it! That's it!"
Morning Meditation 🧘
I’m working up to Kalee’s suggested morning ritual and it is not that easy 🥹 The cold I’ve been having since last Friday is getting worse. The cough and sore throat didn’t allow me much sleep time last night. This morning I was not up for a shower at all. And gosh, getting myself up to the same spot at the same time for my morning meditation with Kalee’s 10 minute Tranquility meditation should be a simple act but it wasn’t 🥹 Finally at the set time I mustered up all my might to sit up at the same spot. Turn on Kalee’s video and kept my focus on the sounds… I’m so looking forward to Nathaniel’s posting for tomorrow motivation 🙏 I’m guessing Discipline will be mentioned among other things. Because that’s what I did this morning to train my body and mind 🥹

@Melanie Le Take care of yourself and try and get rested. I'm sorry to hear about the symptoms you're describing with your sickness, and keep in mind that sometimes..... a cold / cough can be greatly helped with a really hot shower, sometimes a super-hot shower can just burn that right out of you. Please give it a try & let me know what happens.

@Melanie Le Of course I'm not a doctor or able to prescribe any medicine but it's so important when you have these kinds of colds and coughs that you take your rest and don't strain.... there's no reason to strain. Please let me know what's going on when you have time.
