What your standout moment within your sobriety journey?
This can be anything large or small, something that really stands out and that you’re proud of. It could be a moment where you had a hard day and would normally drink, although you stayed away from alcohol. Or, it could be something that you perhaps had made an impact or difference to someone else’s day that you may had never done before whilst you were drinking. 🙌 For me, it was surrendering to my childhood trauma and giving my father a chance to come back into my life, and to be a grandfather to my amazing two boys who are seven and 11 years of age. I could see in his state of emotions the profound effect it had on him in such a positive way and the years I withheld him from our lives although I am a true believer people can change for the better and I could see that within him 🙏👥

I haven't found it hard reaching for a beer after work, traveling interstate for work for the week I've been lucky to have had long walks back to the hotel, which has left me feeling tired. I have found my works improved anxiety has not been as bad, my time management though has been a bit off after hours. But generally I'm feeling hopeful For the future instead of feeling like I'm doomed.
What’s your go to Non-Alcoholic Beverage?
With sobriety, we all are used to having something to drink after a long or stressful day at work or anything really we, would choose alcohol as an excuse to finish off the day. So I’d love to hear what your go to is now that you alcohol free and your favourite non-alcoholic beverage after you get home from a long day of work, or being out and about in general. Fill in the comments below. 👇👇👇👇

If you’re going through any type of pain in your life, what are you doing?
Remember we’re all going to feel pain through life. Although here is something I was taught from a coach of mine a few years ago. Is that: We all have a choice. So in other words, are you going to rise to the occasion or suffer and collapse by giving into your choice of suffering. At Fit2Thrive, we work hard on the aspect of resiliency, which we enhance the ability for you to know that you have a choice to suffer from pain in life, it’s never “I have to suffer through this pain.” And once that really sinks in, you’re able to take back control of any circumstantial event that is thrown your way and know deep down, you have the tools, the mindset and the resiliency to breakthrough the noise that enters into your thoughts & rise to the occasion that suffering isn’t a part of my identity anymore. & that is when you will really begin to Thrive in life.

Amazing chat this morning mate, really appreciate it
Monday, let’s flip the script.
Not too many people enjoy a Monday Morning. Whether they lack drive, motivation, confidence, had a big weekend, “ the list goes on”. Though what if we could flip the script on this one. And work on what in particular we can achieve within this week. Break it down to daily wins. Remember, they don’t have to be big wins. Monday: I aim to get my workout done, gratitude practice & do something kind for 1 stranger out there. Small but super achievable & better yet, if I can create more larger wins, then my day is going to finish with even more enlightening.
