What your standout moment within your sobriety journey?
This can be anything large or small, something that really stands out and that you’re proud of. It could be a moment where you had a hard day and would normally drink, although you stayed away from alcohol. Or, it could be something that you perhaps had made an impact or difference to someone else’s day that you may had never done before whilst you were drinking. 🙌 For me, it was surrendering to my childhood trauma and giving my father a chance to come back into my life, and to be a grandfather to my amazing two boys who are seven and 11 years of age. I could see in his state of emotions the profound effect it had on him in such a positive way and the years I withheld him from our lives although I am a true believer people can change for the better and I could see that within him 🙏👥

What’s your go to Non-Alcoholic Beverage?
With sobriety, we all are used to having something to drink after a long or stressful day at work or anything really we, would choose alcohol as an excuse to finish off the day. So I’d love to hear what your go to is now that you alcohol free and your favourite non-alcoholic beverage after you get home from a long day of work, or being out and about in general. Fill in the comments below. 👇👇👇👇

If you’re going through any type of pain in your life, what are you doing?
Remember we’re all going to feel pain through life. Although here is something I was taught from a coach of mine a few years ago. Is that: We all have a choice. So in other words, are you going to rise to the occasion or suffer and collapse by giving into your choice of suffering. At Fit2Thrive, we work hard on the aspect of resiliency, which we enhance the ability for you to know that you have a choice to suffer from pain in life, it’s never “I have to suffer through this pain.” And once that really sinks in, you’re able to take back control of any circumstantial event that is thrown your way and know deep down, you have the tools, the mindset and the resiliency to breakthrough the noise that enters into your thoughts & rise to the occasion that suffering isn’t a part of my identity anymore. & that is when you will really begin to Thrive in life.
If you’re going through any type of pain in your life, what are you doing?

@Nate Vincent always enjoy our chat Nate. When I looked through a different lens, I can see so much potential in you and also how much of a gross mindset can be developed within you, which is really exciting. Have an amazing day. 🙏
Quitting or Reducing Alcohol, Does Willpower Work?
Willpower alone might help you stop for a few days or weeks, but it’s rarely enough to create lasting change. That’s because willpower operates in the conscious mind it’s effort, force, and resistance. Eventually, life’s stress, emotions, and triggers wear it down. When you’re using alcohol to escape pain or fill an internal void, white-knuckling your way through sobriety only fights the symptom, not the root cause. Real transformation happens when you uncover your deeper why, your purpose, values, and what you truly want your life to stand for. When your focus shifts from escaping pain to building something meaningful, alcohol naturally loses its grip. The goal isn’t to fight the urge, it’s to outgrow it by creating a life that no longer needs numbing. Remember, we can’t change the past, though we can DEFINE the future. And over time we subconsciously have the ability to recondition our mind to no longer seek out alcohol to numb the pain or fill a void. We seek out healthy alternatives that release our inner unwanted thoughts & dialog.
