🤑 I Made $1K MRR From a Database Jay Called, "Garbage🗑️"
Jay just turned his phone off for the weekend, and I have a secret to share.... First time in four months. Told the team not to email him until he decides to check back in. I ran a experiment starting this month: Grabbed one of Jay's old databases scraped from Instagram in 2023 Direct quote from Jay, "Ian, don't touch these, they're garbage. My students have been putting this list on blast for years." Me -> "I bet I can take what I've learned and still get it to work." Game Plan: I took a list of about 10 million contacts scraped in 2023 from Instagram. Picked a random niche. Sorted the contacts through Google Cloud computer using Google Drive links. Down to 30k contacts Verified for $50. Resulted in 15k verified list. Then I used Jay's foot-in-the-door offer method to write the first campaign. Used my Dyslexic Copywriter Style for the first 3 emails Replay to every opt-in with a super simple lead magnet. Automate offer and sales. What happened in 2 weeks: 4,224 emails sent 125 replies 21 opportunities 6 customers One new paying customer every other day. From a trash database. Zero sales calls - just a free Google ranking report and the reciprocity framework. Pacing to $1,000+ MRR in month one. Haven't even tested it in niches where I know it works. Will AI-Agents & Automations replace Sales Folks?
With AI storming virtually every part of business I see Sales & Customer Service jobs to be replaced the fastest. What are your thoughts?

there will be large scale adaptation for sure, but in my opinion we learn and adapt. Business that replace may not realize the human touch loss in their business which could harm their reputation in the long run, but if this becomes a norm in the future, then it doesn't make any difference regardless. In my opinion, business that use AI to enable their employees will see greater results and sustain longer.
Cold call to cold email… question!
Hi all! Do you send your cold emails to your lists, then call? I know this group is mainly for cold email outreach, but I am wondering if anyone has a sequence they follow that works well? Cold Call to Voicemail ➡️ Cold Email? Or Cold Email ➡️ Cold call?

Both have their strong suites. It really depends on what your targeted end results are. If you use cold calling to reach out to a specific position in a big company, it may not be best suited unless you have some 'ace' to get past the gatekeepers. However, cold calling works wonders for small-medium businesses where it's likely to get to the decision maker if you know how to pull the strings. Cold email is generally better suited for all niches, but again, this is a skill that one has to learn & it evolves over time. I have done both in the past and have had good results. I am getting back into the game now. Like anything with marketing, it's all a numbers game, and consistent effort will always yield results. One cannot simply say one is better than the other, given the right ICP (ideal customer profile) you could go both ways.
