You’re definitely not cooked — those numbers are actually pretty normal for a local service like painting. A 2% CTR and ~$0.60 LPV tells me people are engaging, so the front end isn’t the issue. When I’ve run similar campaigns, the real swing factor was always the landing page and offer. Painting leads usually convert only when the page makes it super easy to request a quote (clear form, trust signals, before/after photos, service areas, etc). Even small things like burying the CTA or having too much text can tank conversions. One quick check: look at your LP engagement. Are people scrolling? Spending time on the page? If they’re landing and bouncing in under 5 seconds, it’s usually a messaging/value issue, not the ads. What kind of offer or hook are you leading with right now?
The KPI I Was Tracking Wrong…
Just rewatched the 4X ROAS training and it slapped me in the face a little 😂I realised I’d been obsessing over ROAS way too early. Jason breaks it down so clearly: 👉 ROAS is the result,👉 But the real levers are all front-end. If your creative isn’t stopping thumbs…If your landing page isn’t converting…If your offer isn’t tight… ROAS will always lie to you. I’m now focusing way more on the early signals CPC, CPL, and time-on-page before even thinking about ROAS. Curious which KPI are YOU focusing on the most right now?

@Miracle Dominion Love that, hook rate is such an underrated metric. It’s crazy how a tiny improvement in the first 1–2 seconds can shift the whole funnel. Landing-page engagement is a big one too. I’ve noticed lately that even a small tweak (headline clarity, social proof above the fold, or reducing the scroll “dead zone”) can boost time-on-page way more than expected. Once you dial that in, your CPC improvements will compound even harder because you’re not leaking attention after the click. Are you testing multiple LP variants right now or just optimizing the main one?
