Hey everyone, My name is Leo Passley and i wanted to share my journey into aviation. My first intro into Aviation was in 2012 when i first bought Microsoft Flight Sim X. I had a Joystick and dreams when I first started. As the years went by i focused heavily on baseball and college baseball, until I tore my ACL and meniscus in college. After leaving college in 2020 I attended ATP flight school in clearwater, FL. After graduating from ATP, I went to work at Signature Flight Support in hopes of growing my network. I eventually got my CFI, and I thankfully got a job teaching at Albert Whitted airport in Tampa Florida. I was fortunate enough to build time in various aircraft including the PC-12. I eventually moved onto Contour Airlines on the E145, and upgraded to captain opening up new doors in which I am very thankful for. I am now at Avelo Airlines on the 737 as a first officer with hopes of Upgrading to captain or going to Southwest. I wish everyone the best on their Journey!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself and share a little about my aviation journey. I started flight training back in 1997 while in college and earned my CFI in 2001. Timing wasn’t exactly on my side back then, so I stepped away from flying for a while — and when I tried to return, the 2008 recession hit. It hasn’t been the most direct or traditional path to a major airline, but I’ve kept moving forward. Over the past decade, I’ve flown the CRJ, Falcon 20, instructed in the simulator on the E170/175, and built solid experience across a few different operations. Right now, I’m flying the DC-9 at a Part 121 cargo operator, and I’m continuing to work toward getting back to a regional or a major soon. Aviation hasn’t always made it easy, but I’m still here, still pushing, and still chasing the dream. Thanks for reading and for all the support along the way! ✈️💙
