Skool vs. Heartbeat? Any opinions?
Q: I'm curious to know if anyone here has hosted groups on both Skool and HeartBeat, and whether you have an opinion about which you like better?? I'm creating a 30-day challenge ... basically a perfect webinar with a lesson/story every day and actions to take each week to get bonus trainings. Afterward, I'll pull all the content together and distill down into my 90-minute webinar to launch later. I'm thinking about using Telegram for the daily voice memo trainings, and HeartBeat for the group aspect. I want a platform that can grow with me and I like the look and feel of the interface better than Skool, but I'm open to other perspectives on it. THANKS!! 🙏

@Adrienne Potts Thank you! ... I'm curious to know what about it gives you a headache? And are you speaking from a user perspective or a host perspective? 🙏🙏🙏

@Certified Olaoluwa Please elaborate ... WHY is it the best?!? Sell me!! 🤣
Advice?!
I need advice! I was just certified as Life Coach & I’m now looking to start my own Coaching Business. What should my next steps be and what are some things that could be helpful you think I should know? Thanks!

@Melvin Wise CONGRATULATIONS!!! In addition to all the advice above about figuring out what your gift is and who you're here to serve, the advice I would give is to Keep It Simple at the beginning. You may find after working with a certain set of people at the beginning that you want to go a different direction ... (essentially that the set of problems you thought you wanted to solve for people eventually feels boring to you because you're continually leveling up.) It's ok to pivot, but if you've built your brand on an overly specific niche at the beginning, that makes the pivot harder. (Speaking from experience here 🙄.) My invitation would be to just start having conversations with the people you're most attracted to serve right now. Find out what they're struggling with, what challenges they have. Don't try to hard sell them on anything, but invite them into your world. Once you have collected that information, you can start crafting offers that speak directly to solving their pain points.

@Melvin Wise @Melvin Wise You are so welcome! 🙏 Keep us posted on your journey, please!
Video Recording and editing.
I'm curious to how many of you hire somebody to do your video recording and or editing? I'm new to selling online and it's just me. I'm a little overwhelmed since I'm not the best tech person. As I grow, I imagine I'm going to need somebody to help with the video recording and or editing. Does anyone have recommendations on when to do this in the process if at all? Should I look for someone on Fiver or do you have other recommendations? Thanks for any input.

Hey Nancy! I do all my own, but it can feel very overwhelming at first. My advice is find one platform (for vertical video, CapCut as suggested by @Thierry Johnville has felt like the easiest) and go through their tutorials, then go on YouTube and watch a bunch of how-to's from creators. My current favorite if you want to go deeper than with CapCut is Descript. It has sooooo many AI integrations and editing tools, and you can do vertical or horizontal, faceless ... the possibilities are endless! They even just came out with their own ChatGPT video generator. But it def takes an investment of time. My only issue with hiring someone from Fiverr when you haven't learned the skill yourself (FB ads would be another example) is that unless you've done it yourself, it can be hard to know what to ask for, and hard to know whether they're doing a good job for a good price. So, my advice: start with something easy like CapCut and grow from there -- whether that means hiring someone or learning more yourself. Hope that's helpful!

@Nancy Hiller Just popping back in with an update ... I spent 4 hours deep-diving into Descript last week and I love it more than ever!! 🔥🙌🔥 The only downside is you can't film right into it from your phone. It's still my fave for horizontal style video for YouTube and my courses and such ... BUUUUUUUUUT ... wait for it ... Then I found one I like just as much that I can shoot directly from my phone in vertical ☝️📱 format AND has filters (for those crappy light situations) AND it has a built in teleprompter!! It's called BIGVU and it's so EASY it's almost ridiculous. 🤗 Wishing you all the best on your video journey!!
How do you deal with feelings of insignificance?
Sometimes we get those feelings in entrepreneurship "we're not doing enough" "i didn't get all my tasks done today" "man i only worked 8 hours today instead of 12" We've been pushed to work harder by the modern-day hustle culture. How do you stay sane under all this pressure?

@Teresa Wolfe rest yes! But I REALLY love the part about releasing expectations and celebrating wins!!! 😍🔥I think the key to releasing what we think "should" happen when we take a certain action is to reconnect with our why and really focus on the long-term outcome we're desiring to create, as opposed to the what.

@Tony Klein Oh! So many ... meditation, savasana, hiking, yoga, making rituals out of everything I do. Physical grounding (bare feet on the earth.) Time in nature without my phone -- hiking is where my BEST ideas come from, but not when I'm distracted with audiobooks and podcasts or even music ... just listening for what might be out there beyond my mind. Now I'm inspired ... I'm gonna go write a post about this! Thank you 🙏, Tony.
What is this Skool thing?
Can somebody please explain to me how this Skool thing works? Where are the lessons from the course? Thank you

One clarification on what everyone else here has offered ... you have to participate in order to unlock the lessons. The more you get involved in the community, the higher levels you unlock and the more content you have access to. 🙌 Hope that helps!
