I think for me it depends on the age groups and who I'm teaching breaking to for eg. If I had a group of kids it'll be difficult to teach them a lot of history of breaking but I'd tell them small bits and pieces each time. Or id teach them how to groove first which would help with warming them up a bit and possible isolation exercises. And in general depends on how much time I have but for eg an hr. For young adults or adults in general it'll be easier to get them started with grooves and top rock because it'll help them warm up before doing some light stretches/ dynamics stretches. And id go from top rock techniques to creating a small routine to help them with connecting the techniques. Otherwise if you're talking 1 on 1 mentorship or private classes it just depends on what they wanna learn. Just in general id want my students to learn how to groove and top rock first just because it would give them the basic understanding of what dance is like as it's not always technical it's also about being able to understand the music, sounds and how to catch different layers of sound and be able to express yourself through the movement. It is also a natural movement for us with groove especially and something the body understands when we hear the music. Starting with something that our body can understand is a good way to ease into breaking. But these are just my own experiences and understanding of how I was taught as well as what I want in teaching the first parts of breaking. Thank you for listening to my ted talk 🦜

@Richie 'Abstrak' Soto hello hello thank you for reviewing the video. I'll try my best to change my way of exiting when transitioning. Something not too basic from what I'm guessing but more a transition that would help me to straight away got to something more impactful is what I'm assuming

Breaking Progress Tracker → Just dropped a quick walkthrough (2 short Looms) of something I’ve been working on → a simple way to track your progress, drills, and growth in breaking. 👉🏽 Sign up here and test it out. Let me know if it’s something you’d actually use — if not, all good. I think the younger generation might find this helpful for keeping tabs on their sessions and movement development. Appreciate you all checking it out. ✌🏽
