From Research to Final Draft—The Best AI Tools for Writing
I've always used a specially created custom GPTs for all my writing. It was smart, fast and the writing was good—but not great for long-form content. I had tried Claude for editing, but I had never created a Project and gone fully end-to-end with it. For my latest article in the We 💙 AI series in Substack, AI’s Sacred Purpose, I wanted to see what would happen if I used the best AI tool for each step of the process—instead of forcing one tool to do everything. And it blew my mind. Here’s the AI writing stack that I used: 🔍 Perplexity – Excellent research with all the linked citations (no hallucinations!) 📚 Notebook LM – Google’s AI research assistant for pulling and organizing insights from your research 📝 ChatGPT (Custom GPTs) – For brainstorming, outlining, and structuring the content ✍️ Claude – The best AI writer & editor, refining my drafts to perfection 🎨 MidJourney – AI-generated images to bring the essay to life The result? A writing process that was faster, smoother, and more fun that I've ever had writing before. This was more than just an experiment. This was a glimpse into the future of work - where we're all doing what we're good at, and love to do - and AI does the rest. I put together a video walking through exactly how I used each tool and why this “best-of-breed” approach is a game-changer for content creation. Don’t settle for a single “good enough” AI tool—stack the best, and you’ll never go back. If anyone wants help building AI into your marketing workflows, hit me up!

Selling customGPTs
Has anyone here sold custom gpts? Either implementation where you just set it up for them, or set up a custom app that uses the API. How would you go about pricing? I have someone interested in one I've made, but I'm not sure where to start

Hey Seth - I created a legal GPT and found a chat website charging folks to use it. . Completely blew mind bc i wasn’t charging anyone to use the thing.

@Edwin Jansen Hi Edwin, so glad i circled back to see how this thread was evolving. . I’ve also built an entire business worth of custom made GPT’s but no business largely due to the fact of being fearful of the unknown (ie failure, success etc) among other things i’m sure. . i’m not so sure where to start and once I do start envisioning success i freeze up and close shop. What’s your advice to this as well as what pricing tier do i begin with etc?? Thanks a ton for any help. DM me if you prefer. Matt

AI video creation…WOW
I'm guessing most of us in this group can more easily pick out AI generated video and voices than people who aren't as into it. The more obvious it is, the more annoyed I get 😃 However, I am not doing a good job of connecting with people who might be a good fit for my services. I feel like video could help that. Unlike the charming @Jason West, though, I feel like an ugly, awkward amateur in front of a camera. So today I went on the hunt to see what is out there in the AI video realm that isn't complete crap. I found HourOne, among other tools, and was surprised by the quality. Yes, I can tell it's an AI avatar. But it's good enough that I'd share the video. Well, if it didn't have the HourOne branding on it. But hey – they let you try it for free, so that's fair. They have examples throughout the site so you can get an idea of what you can do with the tool. It didn't take me that long to create the video I made (linked below, if you want to see). Have you run across other tools I should look at? My budget is super tight, but I might be throwing money HourOne's way soon. Unless one of you leads me to a better tool! https://player.hourone.ai/440b4dc2a95e4272a750d82f0b89b5ca

How to build GPT’s with better memory
How to build GPTs with better memory Nick Dobos (@NickADobos) on X From The Rundown AI: Loading up your GPT with knowledge files may seem logical, but it can tank performance by flooding the context window. Follow these best practices below to improve your bot’s memory. Thank you to Nick Dobos(a top 10 GPT creator) for sharing these tips. Recommendations to improve GPT performance: 1. Instead of inserting documents for knowledge files, use .md (you can save files in this format by renaming them in a code editor). 2. Only fetch files when needed with Code Interpreter. 3. Do not use all 20 files if possible — but if unavoidable, keep them small (.md format helps this). 4. Only include actionable docs with working system prompts for the AI.
