Wisdom Wednesday: Stop Posting. Start Positioning.
Future-proof businesses aren’t loud. They’re not chasing trends. They’re not trying to impress everyone. They are clear about three things: Who they are for What they are known for What they refuse to participate in They know EXACTLY who they want to impress and how to talk to them. Clarity builds authority. Authority builds leverage. Leverage future-proofs everything. Task (No overthinking only use 10 minutes) Write this out: 1️⃣ Who you actually help (Not “entrepreneurs.” Be specific.) 2️⃣ The category you want to own (What do you want people to think of when they hear your name?) 3️⃣ What you stand against in your industry (What are you done tolerating? What do you think is broken?) If you can’t articulate this, you don’t have positioning. You have content. AI Prompt (Use AI like a strategist, not a copywriter) Based on the positioning below, craft a sharp authority statement that clearly differentiates me from competitors. Make it confident, clear, and specific. Avoid generic marketing language. Social Implementation (Do this immediately again with no overthinking) Turn your authority statement into: • A pinned post • A rewritten bio • A stronger headline • The first line of your next piece of content Consistency compounds. Confusion kills. Future-proof creators don’t try to go viral. They try to become undeniable. Drop your positioning below. Let’s sharpen it. I love a good pinned post!

This has been fun! Here was my prompt: I am a fair, understanding, educational mortgage loan officer. I help first time homebuyers and investors looking to generate wealth and opportunities to better their financial portfolio. When people hear my name, I want them to think of success, fair lending, fast communication and accuracy. I think the system we have in place that generates the 10 year treasury note and the economic outlook based on sentiment is broken and unfair. It's hard for people to understand what drives interest rates (we all know it's geo-political, economy-focused) but for the consumer it seems like a crapshoot. That takes their power and discernment away. I want to be a lender that people can speak to and feel empowered and educated after a conversation. The result: Here is a sharp, differentiated authority statement that positions you as both guide and advocate: Authority Statement: I’m the mortgage strategist who turns confusion into clarity. While most lenders react to rates, I educate my clients on what drives them and how to win anyway. I specialize in empowering first-time buyers and investors to build lasting wealth through fair lending, precise execution, and fast, transparent communication. When you work with me, you don’t just get approved, you understand the strategy behind every move. My clients walk away confident, informed, and positioned for long term success. If you'd like a slightly bolder, more disruptive version that leans into your stance on the system: Alternative Version: In a market where interest rates feel like a gamble, I bring strategy and certainty. I’m a fair, education-first mortgage advisor helping first-time buyers and investors build wealth with clarity and confidence. I break down the forces that move the market so my clients can make powerful, informed decisions instead of emotional ones. Fast, accurate, transparent. My name stands for smart lending and successful outcomes. I like them both, but the alternative version just a little better. I'm going to pin it to my biz pages. Also.... personal??

FYI - that felt VERY vulnerable to post. Also because I attached a pro photo. This is 120% getting me out of my comfort zone. So thank you!!!
I DID THE THING!! 🤩
I did a hard, brave thing today! I went LIIIVE!! Ack! It actually wasn't that bad... hopefully! My colleague Taylor and I challenged ourselves in a big way today. She wasn't ready to go live, but she did record a quick video about how important having a team during the real estate process is crucial, and in her example it saved her over $30,000! I hope she posts it soon. I talked about why I love my job, why I love helping, and my experience as a first time home buyer. If you haven't seen it yet, please check out my FB page and give it a quick watch? Completely, totally open to (gentle) honest feedback. Thank you @Patrick Murakami and @Jen Peterson for the inspiration and support. Can say with 100% certainty I wouldn't have done it without this group. It's very vulnerable, but so far people seem to like it. 💙

Organic vs paid growth
Jen, Brandon and I have had many conversation around this and its super fascinating to learn about the paid strategies for me as somebody who has focused so heavily on organic. What is organic? This would focus on items such as branding, social media, website, and invitation based strategy. Often times it takes longer with persistence and consistency. Paid strategies would be designed to drive traffic through ads, paid marketing, high end evideo and partnerships. I want to invite you to ask questions about what pertains to you. What have you tried, why are your hesitant to try what you haven't etc. Something to be mindful is that most people are quick to place marketing on the chopping.block when things are slow, but that's when marketing matters the most.

@Jen Peterson Yes!! We are working on having a downloadable FTHB guide that requires a registration to view, which will feed into our Total Expert CRM. Looking forward to launching that soon!

@Josh Case Our Closing Quote in BNI today was “All the time and effort put into networking can be all for naught if there is no follow-through. The same goes for sales. And leadership. And well, everything.” - Beth Ramsay @Patrick Murakami is a smart dude!
Hidden Gems...Substack and Reddit
Do you enjoy writing and want to build a following for your personal thoughts? Substack is the right community for you. I once read the description as "Social media for people who have gone through therarapy" And I have to agree. I have enjoyed reading many articles/notes in there. Reddit is quickly becoming the "in know" platform. Overnight gamestop boom....came from reddit. Reddit is a place to create authority and build credibility while also a great place to run ads for your business. This is a hidden gem for growth.
