100 RETIREMENT TIPS
# 1 Invest wisely and grow your wealth. While you have a steady income, you should save as much as you can and spend less than you earn. This will make your retirement easier and more comfortable, as you won't have to rely solely on your investment returns. You should also make your savings work harder for you by investing them in assets that generate income or appreciate in value, such as stocks or bonds. Don't let your money sit idle in cash—make it productive and profitable.

82. Adjusting to a new community indeed takes time and patience. Whether it's about making friends, engaging in local activities, or volunteering for nonprofits, it's a gradual process that requires perseverance. It's important to be open to new experiences and to approach each interaction with a positive mindset. Over time, consistent efforts can lead to meaningful connections and a sense of belonging in the new environment. Remember, every community has its unique rhythm, and finding your place within it is part of the rewarding journey.

83. Rolling over a 401(k) can be a straightforward process if done correctly. It's essential to initiate a direct rollover to the new account, which avoids the mandatory 20% tax withholding by the employer on the distributed amount. Setting up a rollover account with a chosen brokerage and transferring the funds directly ensures that the entire balance is moved without tax penalties. Acting within the 60-day window is crucial to avoid unnecessary paperwork and potential taxes on the distribution.
Sometimes I wonder, if what we do is too complicated?
I have a few trading accounts most follow the calendar spread. Returns beat the market on a yearly basis. I have one that does not do to IRS and brokerage limitations. I am not able to do spreads. I can buy/sell, cash secure puts and covered calls. I tweaked this account to only trade leaps on five companies, rebalance anytime the option price lets me sell or buy with staying at the set allocation balance that's established each calendar year. To my surprise this has done dramatically better up 94% for last year, and already up 24.21% Everyday we are learning and new methods can be developed. If I see another double this year big changes will be coming..

@Cris Bob yes, so true, but there are more steps to come before the expiration. Adjustments that can be added. - Rebalancing after a run up will increase cash reserves and reduce the contracts. Securing some profit. - If the stock drops early on in the first couple of months, rebalance can take place to add at reduce prices, if the stock recovers partially we rebalance again to reduce risk and replenish cash. Another drop another rebalance. Obviously we cannot do this continuously as if we eventually kill the account. But we do not let one position dictate the acct. - One or two or even three losing positions can be offset by the other 5 positions. So it is good to have 5-8 positions.. - As we approach the Jan 2025 expiration, we need to evaluate the direction of the market and the stock to determine the amount of risk that is allowed to continue and the options price is affected by time decay.

CMG Calendar Call Spread Targets 455% Return
Chipotle Mexican Grill The shares have been in a steady uptrend since January 12, based on CMG moving averages. Setting up this calendar spread with strikes at $2980 gives you a bullish bias to tap into CMG stock's strength. In this scenario, the optimal stock price for the option strategy would be $2980.00 on the date of the first expiration, April 26, 2024. This is equal to the strike price of the options in the spread. Since CMG is in a technical uptrend currently, and the strikes are above the current stock price of $2882.04, the spread is taking advantage of the stock's upward momentum. If the stock price is $2980.00 at expiration, we can benefit from the 26-Apr-24 call, which we sold, expiring worthless, and the option that we are long, the 17-May-24 call, will still have time premium built in. Since we do now know what the exact implied volatility will be on April 26, we can use our historical data to make an educated estimate to help us calculate the value of the 17-May-24 option. Applying the median historical implied volatility of 28.6 from similar options, the theoretical value of the call is 87.35 at the date of the 26-Apr-24 expiration. Using the above assumptions gives us a potential upside of +455% for this calendar spread. We actually saw a nice move above 3000 on 20-Mar-24. with the recent announcement of a 50 for 1 stock split. The stock has retraced since to beignets next leg up. Happy Trading! Risking 1,500 to make 6,918. We will start with 12 contracts and slowly sell as it goes up. Risking 18K to make 83K.

The influence of major tech companies on financial markets is indeed significant. Meta Platforms Inc., previously known as Facebook, saw a substantial drop in stock value after an earnings call that focused on long-term investments in AI and the metaverse. This decline not only affected Meta's market capitalization but also had a ripple effect across the tech industry, highlighting how pivotal such companies are to the broader market dynamics. The market's reaction reflects investors' sensitivity to strategic shifts and spending in technology sectors, especially in areas like AI, which are still in their nascent stages of monetization.
