Happy Birthday to Me! 🥳✨️
I've officially entered MJ version 4.0! For those of you who only know the Skool version of me, here’s a fun throwback: In my 20s thru my mid 30s, I was very politically involved. Like… “randomly ended up on Norwegian television during the 2020 election cycle” involved. (Yes, that really happened. No, I’m not dropping the link. 😂) Back then, I was living in Minneapolis, but the running joke with my Wisconsin friends was: “When MJ turns 40, she’s coming back home to run for Mayor of Milwaukee.” Plot twist: I moved back early. Then politics made me want to yeet myself into a vat of battery acid. I became completely disenfranchised. …AND YET THE WORLD HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR. Because here I am, stepping into my destiny at last: Mayor of Milwaukee… for the Skool IRL Group. 🤝😆 Skool IRL, by the way, is basically Skool’s “in-the-wild” version -- different Skool communities and markets around the world host their own in-person meetups. Think: the offline side of an online tribe. There's zero policy. 100% vibes. Maximum chaos potential. 😆 So for my birthday this year, I’m asking for one thing: 👉 Join the Skool community. It’s totally free. You don’t need to live in Milwaukee. And if you ever roll through town, I will host a meetup -- and yes, my first official mayoral act will be choosing the bar. 🍻🌆 Come hang with us: https://www.skool.com/milwaukee/about?ref=32b0b96b60084c30b1d99f8dc941ae52

🎸 Meet the Band: Introductions for Our Internet Strangers
Let’s get to know each other a little! If you’re new here, take a minute to drop an intro in the comments. Nothing fancy -- just share: - Who you are / where you’re from - What brought you here - Something fun or unexpected about you (hobby, favorite food, weird talent, etc.) I’ll go first so you don’t have to be the guinea pig. Can’t wait to meet you all!

@Peter Ferreira Heyy Peter, nice to meet you man. So nice to see you are from Canada. I am originally from Brazil but I live in Australia. You are totally right about my portuguese surname. It definitely comes from Portugal, nice catch. Nice to see that you just joined the community. Are you planning to create your own one?

@Peter Ferreira That's awesome Peter. I can see that you have a great knowledge on what you do. You have so much to offer to people here on Skool. Yesss that's something that I love and now I am just helping others to do the same. So many people put heath aside when life gets busy but that is the only thing we can't do because this gives us energy to perform at our best. It is all about finding systems to make this routine easy to do. Looking forward to learning more from you too man
I did something really cool yesterday
I wouldn’t really say this was out of my comfort zone.. meeting internet strangers in real life isn’t new to me. But recording myself on camera professionally? That definitely pushed me a little! Skool is all about building real connections, and this week was a great reminder of that. I made a post on the Skoolers page about how I use the whiteboard in my kitchen to plan out my activities. A random person commented, which sparked a great conversation -- and before I knew it, I learned there was an in-person Skool meetup happening in Chicago on Sunday. I knew I had to go. And it was so worth it. We recorded our very own VSL, shared insights, learned from some seriously talented people in this business, and wrapped it all up with an amazing authentic Greek meal. The vibe was genuine, inspiring, and just plain fun. If you’ve ever thought about doing your own real-life meetup, I can’t recommend it enough. There’s just something about taking those online connections offline -- it makes everything feel more real, more personal, and more powerful. How was your weekend?

Credit Repair & Rebuilding: The Comeback Blueprint
Day 28 is a special request 💳 I'll post the video later, but figured having the steps written down might be helpful! If you’ve made it this far, first off, congrats. By now, you’ve looked at your income, tackled your debt, and started building habits that keep you accountable. Today, we’re talking about something that makes most people squirm: credit repair. Because whether you’ve had a few slip-ups or total financial chaos, there’s one truth that matters most... credit can be repaired. It takes patience, persistence, and a plan. And I’m about to give you one. 🔍 Step 1: Pull All Three Credit Reports You can’t fix what you haven’t faced. Head to AnnualCreditReport.com -- the only site the federal government authorizes for free reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Download all three and print or save them as PDFs. They won’t always match exactly, but together they give you the full story. Now grab a pen (or spreadsheet). You’re about to do a credit autopsy. Mark down every negative item: - Late or missed payments - Charge-offs - Collections - Bankruptcies - Judgments - Accounts you don’t recognize These are the enemies of your credit score, but they’re not permanent. 🧾 Step 2: Verify and Dispute Errors According to the FTC, 1 in 5 credit reports contains a serious error. That means you might be paying higher interest rates or getting denied credit because someone else’s mistake is sitting on your report. Here’s what to do: 1. Dispute inaccurate information directly with the bureau reporting it. - You can do this online or by certified mail. - Keep copies of everything -- documentation is your shield. 2. Provide proof (bank statements, payment confirmations, etc.). 3. Wait 30 days. Bureaus are legally required to investigate and respond within that time frame. 4. Follow up if needed... persistence pays off. If they can’t verify the information, it must be removed. ⚠️ Don’t pay anyone to “fix” your credit for you. If a company promises to “erase” negative items overnight, it’s a scam. You can do this yourself (for free) with better results.
