🎸 Meet the Band: Introductions for Our Internet Strangers
Let’s get to know each other a little! If you’re new here, take a minute to drop an intro in the comments. Nothing fancy -- just share: - Who you are / where you’re from - What brought you here - Something fun or unexpected about you (hobby, favorite food, weird talent, etc.) I’ll go first so you don’t have to be the guinea pig. Can’t wait to meet you all!

@Oscar Setiawan facts! @Adelina Rosa you won't want to leave the cool kids club 😁😎

@Adelina Rosa you know what's so funny is that when my friends would come visit me in Minnesota they'd always want to go to MOA. I'm like, "You guys. It's seriously just a big mall. It's not that great." But I'd always take them and they'd always love it haha. Omggg. If you move somewhere warm I am coming to visit during January 😆 I really love San Diego and Coronado but it's so expensive. You're not longwinded! I love a fellow writer, and that's so cool that you have different areas that you write about. Is your food/entertainment all Chicago-based places? I love me some good food haha. And since I am down that way more, I'd love any recommendations! Keep us posted on the move! And hopefully I'll see you at an upcoming event soon!
A friendly reminder to check your subscriptions🙃
There are plenty of good tools out there to check your subscriptions and see what you're paying for each month. There are pros and cons of linking your bank to some of these apps, specifically when it comes to the security of your data, but these days everyone pretty much has all of your data anyway, so make of that what you will 😅 Recently, I did an audit of my Godaddy.com accounts, I have a few websites, only one of which is active right now, but one thing I didn't realize is that I've been paying for an email address for one of the sites that is currently not active 🫠 Now, it's only $10/month, but that's $120/year -- and this is the problem with subscriptions. We think, "Oh, it's only $xx.xx/month" but when you start to have multiple small subscriptions you are paying for each month, that starts to add up! In fact, recent research has shown that the average American is paying nearly $1,000/year in subscriptions! A few questions for you: - Do you know how many subscriptions you have? - How much are you spending per year? - Do you use an app to track your subscriptions? - Are there any subscriptions you could cancel today? Let's discuss!

@Krista Brea No problem😊 Sometimes getting started is the hardest part!!
I stopped treating Venmo like invisible money
I work in the service industry so I get tips in apps all the time. Venmo is my favorite! But I noticed with digital money I treated it like it wasn’t really there. It became an invisible money that I would go use when I wanted to “shop and scroll” for comfort or escapism. After MJ’s influence of giving every dollar a job. I now use the digital money as part of my “meal train” giving for people who need support in daily life struggles. I made a Rule: every tip has to go through the 70/30 split and what is left can go back into the digital wallet after I’ve accounted for it as income. I spent years leaking money because of a refusal to “look” at my habits and take responsibility for my actions. Wow what a gut check. I hope my story inspires you to set some new rules and stop the money leaks. Are there any areas where you are leaking? How do you allocate digital funds? Do you have rules for them?

I love this so much 😭 The self-awareness, the accountability, and the way you redirected it toward serving others is incredibly inspiring. You should be really proud of yourself!!! This is what real change looks like 🙌✨️

@Scarlett Wieliczki I feel that! Glad you brought it to the light. And you're right, it doesn't mean you can't buy "self-care" items they just go in your budget!
I Took The Enneagram Quiz
I recently took your enneagram quiz turns out I am a number 9. I actually went and purchased the full report it had many interesting insights. I met another skooler and he is very big into enneagrams which is cool that now I somewhat understand mine 🤣 What is yours?

Heck yeah! One of the perks of leveling up in the classroom 💪😎 I'm an 8w7 -- when I first took it about 10 years ago I was a 7w6 but very close to a 7w8. I guess I grew up a bit in the last decade 😅 We could use more 9s in the world these days! 🕊

@Krista Brea awareness is the first step, ya know? I have had to work on being not so outspoken over the years 😬 It's all about balance! Once we know our blind spots we can work around them.
Fri-Yay! 🎉
What are you fine folks up to this weekend?
