Fabric pricing
I'm going with an F 2 SKU which costs โ‚ฌ0.407/hour or โ‚ฌ296.625/month. Onelake storage costs โ‚ฌ0.0222/GB/month. Now, what I'm not sure about is if I need to run the capacity continuously or can I pause it? If so, will this pausing happen automatically when the service is idle or do I have to manually do this? I'm looking to scrape a website (takes 5 minutes) schedule this every day and store the results. Later I want to use Streamlit to query this data an show it on a public website. Does this mean I only use 5 minutes of Fabric capacity per day? Do we get charged for the reads and writes to the Onelake storage? Or can I query my database 24/7 with 1000s of users and still only pay โ‚ฌ0.0222/GB/month? Or does querying the onelake storage also use the capacity?

When capacity is paused you can't fetch data from OneLake (OneLake consumption - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn). So that means in my case it will cost at least โ‚ฌ300/month. Are there any other ways to achieve what I described in Fabric with a more reasonable cost?
Unsupported account error when creating a Fabric capacity
I'm using my personal account within Azure and when I try to create a new Fabric capacity I get this error: Unsupported account - You cannot create a Microsoft capacity using a personal account. Use your organizational account instead. How can I access Fabric as an individual user? Or do I need to register as a company? What is the recommended way to get started with Fabric as an individual?

Data skills to focus on
When starting out your data career it's hard to know what skills to focus on. There are many blog posts offering recommendations, but none of which are backed by data. "Isn't that exactly what a data professional should do?" thought Luke Barousse. So he made datanerd.tech, a data platform giving real-time insight into what the most in-demand data skills are. One downside of the platform was that it aggregated all data, so you were unable to see how skill importance changed over time. After writing a bit of Python and SQL I made a Github pull request doing exactly that. The feature is now live, so feel free to have a look.

Take the DP-600 exam for free
Hi all, just to let you know, if you sign up for and complete the AI Skills Challenge: Fabric Analytics Engineer you get to take the DP-600 exam for free (normally $165)! Make sure you sign up in the next four days (when the challenge begins), then you have one month to complete the challenge. Then you have to book and take the exam before June 24th I believe (but check the Terms and Conditions yourself). Who's going to take the challenge?
