Do you read books/comics/manga (smut lololololz) or watch movies/series/anime (hentai looooooooooooooooool yolo 67)? Are there any skills or capabilities from characters that you would love to have as a runner? I'm currently reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl series and that guy has some serious foot capabilities. Like: Extra kick damage. Smush skills (great for the mud) Sticky feet. Can run on non horizontal surfaces. Nimble and buff feet that take less damage as long as he gives himself a pedicure every 30 hours. The downside is, he can't wear shoes or these things won't work.
Mine are from today.. Flex: Progression run felt like an easy run today! Fail: I'm still trying to make the Vanish Carbon 2s work for me. They feel so speedy, but they once again ripped up my heels despite me putting on thicker socks and blister bandaids. One foot had the blister bandaid dislodged, and on the other the heel of the shoes actually made a hole _in_ the blister bandaid itself! At this point I am considering cutting a little part of the heel off...
As you know, we have our weekly Tuesday Gear thread where we discuss all anything running related we'd like to buy or try. Now I'm wondering the opposite: is there anything you bought or tried out that you DIDN'T like and/or even regret buying?
@Fakaiha Zaheed I got some CEP compression socks with a gift card I won here (thanks, @Caroline Claassen !) and loooove them. I don't think they improve my actual running, they're just really comfortable and the coral color goes with my shoes :D. A pair of running socks I bought that I thought actually made a difference in terms of performance were wool-lined double-lined socks for autumn. They really helped prevent blisters when my shoes got wet, with the two linings sliding against each other instead of my foot.
Share a picture of your most recent run (or at least the most recent one in your camera roll). SWEATY, foggy, dirty, beautiful - it doesn't matter, let's see it! β¬οΈ (p.s. it's so fun to compare these to these threads from 4 months ago!)
Here's one from my interval run yesterday. There are so many different flowers growing around my neighborhood I can't help but take a picture whenever I'm out. I think they've chosen pollinator-friendly varieties through most of it, too!
