Is anyone else getting a barrage of hate?
I'm so discouraged. I get 9 hateful comments out of every 10 each day, it's become exhausting. Here I am, creating content to help people, spending my time for free, spending my own money, not making a penny and people are just so utterly mean and nasty. I get called names on a regular basis and some things that I can't even say aloud. Is it just me? I know to block and hide user from channel and all of that but when you look at your comments and truly, I just counted, every single comment between today and yesterday except 1 was over-the-top hateful ---it really makes me feel like giving up.

So sorry you're getting hateful comments but I notice it only happens to me on videos that reach a "wider audience than usual" to quote one of our fave bits of YouTube analytics :) I never got hate when I made videos about neurodivergent travel but when I expanded to life in the UK and a recent one about my housing situation --- boy howdy did that bring out the trolls! It really knocked me and I'm sort of over it now.

@Ashley Frankenstein Taking a break, and developing a thicker skin with practices. I also used chat gpt to summarise the comments and that made me feel a lot better. Majority were supportive. And ChatGPT knew some of those “tough love” humans weren’t there to be supportive

After 8 months of thinking of doing YT- I finally published
OK, folks, that was scary. Just published my first video as I type this (and have another 4 in the pipeline). It sucks....but I'll get better..... Editing is a NIGHTMARE. I hired someone to do mine, and after the first 2 he quit because he didn't have the time for it.....so, the first 2 I'm going to post are done by him- and the rest by me, and it shows.... LOL. If anyone has a decent editor for simple editing (I'm a talking head educational You tuber) they can recommend, please pass the info on!

Congrats on publishing your first video! Editing is indeed a hard part but you will get faster. I might have hired out editing too but I instead I got faster / better and am considering becoming a freelance editor because I actually really enjoy the process! Still trying to work out the sweet spot between having titles/ transitions and b-roll but think they are less important than overall clarity.

@Tina Konstantinou I am using Davinci Resolve Studio version. Possibly overkill but it is fast processing. It has similar AI capabilities like Davinci but does a lot more. And is more visual like iMovie …

This achievement might as well be the golden play button it feels so amazing! 1,000 people got value from something I said, 1,000 people spent their most treasured commodity, time, to watch my videos and 1,000 people connected with me on some level - how frickin' awesome is that?! I'm now going to celebrate by editing my next video🤣

Could My Remote Mountain Location Be Limiting My YouTube Reach?
Hey everyone, I’ve been wondering—could my YouTube videos not reaching a broad audience be due to my location? I live in a remote mountain village, far from civilization and possibly with fewer satellites around. Is my content only being pushed to local areas because of this? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on how location might affect video reach! I'm sure you'd be able to hook people in with storytelling. Also if you're able, creating content specific to attracting visitors would be great. Give people an idea of an itinerary, what to look out for, what to eat, etc etc Is it suitable for digital nomads? If yes then a slow option would be ideal (moving location every 3-6 weeks, what places in Pakistan could they be based in?)
