Pants length
I bought pants to match a jacket I had. The exact pants they have their model wearing on the website for the jacket. I loved the way it looked. I'm thinking of wearing this for a wedding in South Beach in July that's supposed to be somewhat casual. Are the pants at the right height? I think they are ok but my wife says they are too high. The jacket is pulling in some of the warmth from the lights so it looks slightly different but it's the exact same color.

The power of Pink
I’ve spoken many many times about the three conservative foundational menswear shirt colors in American Classic Timeless Menswear: Blue White and Pink. For at least 70 plus years these have been the primary colors for men’s shirts. The reason is simple. These three color of shirts are virtually interchangable in tie and suit /sportcoat options thus they “conserve” one funds thus they are “conservative” Many guys get pink confused with other colors like lavender, ecru, or yellow. While those last three certainly can be used very adroitly in many ensembles and can look outstanding (especially lavender) as a bold break from convention, they are not nearly as primary as pink. I look at pink as blue’s and white’s slightly more dynamic cousin. Some guys still harbor some rather childish “little boys wear blue little girls wear pink” sentiments but to me that sounds like the same guys who can’t understand why you would wear a sportcoat and slacks out instead of jeans, graphic hoodies, and baseball caps. If one wants to wear jeans and a hoodie and a baseball cap out on the town-who cares -nbd. Yet if that person wants to condescend to one wearing a sport coat and slacks-which of these two are being childish? If you have an issue with guys who wear pink take it up with the guys in the last 3 pics OOTD 1995 MTM medium grey suit 1982 ancient matter silk RL tie CT pink oxford Cream and blue silk pocket square J Fitzpatrick black captoes

I’ve always been a fan of pink. My whole adult life I’ve always had something in that color. Love it!

Doctor Visit
Today, I donned my new, and much used well-tailored light tan windowpane sport coat, paired with a crisp light blue shirt and a deep navy tie. The ensemble was completed with navy trousers and polished brown AE leather shoes. I had a yearly checkup at the doctor’s office and noticed the incredible olive wall in the waiting room. It was the perfect backdrop for my outfit. The earthy tone of the wall, along with the framed landscape and greenery, subtly enhanced the palette of my attire, creating a composed and almost editorial feel. To complete the look, I wore my favorite Bulova Morning Star watch, added a few spritzes of PDM Layton, and I’m ready for whatever the day has in store for me.

Looks great! Oddly I have a similar watch and I sprayed on a little Layton too haha.
Valero....I love it!
Went to the store to check out CARLISLE from Parfums Da Marly. I heard it smelled good but walked out with Valero. Ridiculous price but I will say it has great longevity. I played 9 holes of golf this am and went in for a quick drink before heading back out and the female bartender smelled me and was like "wow you smell great! What is that??!!" That's what I was looking for. Something that I could sweat a little, in the heat and not have it wear out after a couple of hours. I can't seem to find it. Maybe i'm not putting enough on but I did my normal, 1 spray on my chest, back of neck and one on each wrist/forearm area. Anyone else try this?

Dress Pants with Polos: What's (not) working?
Guess who is going back to office! I am attaching a collage with three images (all minimalist, no watch). I am pairing my navy blue dress pants (wool-viscose blend) with three Polos: a grey (Supima cotton), a violet (Supima cotton), and a magenta (thick cotton but not Supima). The grey and violet Polos have a different type of collar (you can see the difference compared to the magenta Polo, which has a more traditional collar). My work dress code allows Polos and Chino combinations as semi-formal wear, but I want to dress up a notch by pairing my Polos with dress pants. I will complete the look using dark brown lace up dress shoes. Since it is pretty hot (100F) outside, I won't bother layering. Of course, I will wear a brown leather strapped watch as a mandatory accessory. Let me know if any/all of these work for my intended purpose. I don't want to come across as an oddity based on the sloppiness of the attire. PS: I have folded the hand sleeves in the violet Polo as I thought the the sleeves are a bit on the longer side.
