Why We’re Not Building Vision Boards, Choosing Anchor Words, or Making Resolutions
Every January, the same rituals appear: vision boards covered in aspirational images, carefully selected anchor words, and lists of resolutions we promise ourselves we’ll keep this time. But here’s what we’ve learned: these practices often keep us stuck in the fantasy of change rather than the messy reality of actually changing. The Problem With Traditional Goal-Setting Vision boards ask us to curate a perfect future. Anchor words demand we distill complexity into a single theme. Resolutions require declarations before we’ve done the work of understanding what actually needs to shift. They all share a common flaw: they prioritize the *idea* of transformation over the *practice* of it. These tools can feel productive in the moment. They give us something tangible, something we can share, something that looks like progress. But they rarely account for the resistance we’ll face, the systems that need updating, or the daily choices that actually create change. What We’re Doing Instead: Sustainable Scale Sprint here in Reset Circle, we’re taking a different approach with the Sustainable Scale Sprint—a focused period of doing rather than declaring. Instead of imagining who we want to be, we’re examining who we actually are. Instead of setting goals before we understand our patterns, we’re investigating what’s working and what’s not. Instead of commitment before clarity, we’re creating space for honest assessment. This Reset Sprint isn’t about inspiration. It’s about information. It’s about getting real with where we are so we can make intentional choices about where we’re going. We’re looking at our systems, our habits, our energy, and our choices with clear eyes. We’re asking better questions: What’s actually draining me? What do I keep avoiding? Where am I operating on autopilot? What needs to change not because it sounds good, but because continuing as-is isn’t sustainable? From Performance to Practice Here’s the shift: we’re moving from performing change to practicing it.

You Don’t Have a Sales Problem. You Have a Traffic Problem.
I want you to do something before you skim this. Be honest with yourself for 60 seconds. Not optimistic-honest. Not “it’ll work eventually” honest. Actual honest. Here’s the question: If someone asked you how many real people have seen your link this week, would you have a confident answer? Most people wouldn’t. And that’s the problem. Not motivation. Not knowledge. Not effort. Exposure. Why you’re not getting sales (even if your offer is good) Almost everyone trying to make money online is quietly dealing with the same situation: They’ve posted. They’ve tried. They’ve tweaked. They’ve bought tools or courses. But nothing feels solid because nothing is measurable. No steady clicks. No predictable flow. No clear signal that says, “Yes, this is working.” So they live in limbo. And limbo is where progress goes to die. The order matters: visibility first, results second Most people try to build results before they build visibility. That’s backwards. They worry about: - what to sell - what niche to pick - what platform is “best” - what funnel to build - what caption to write But none of that matters if nobody sees the link. You can’t optimize silence. You can’t improve invisibility. You can’t make sales from something that exists only in your browser. Here’s what traffic really gives you When only a few people see your link, every decision feels emotional. You change things because you feel like it’s not working. You doubt yourself because you feel stuck. You jump to the next thing because you feel behind. But traffic replaces feelings with facts. When enough people see your link: - clicks tell you what works - behaviour tells you what doesn’t - data tells you what to do next That’s how momentum is built. Not by guessing longer. The real beginner goal: predictable exposure Beginners don’t need perfection first. They need a repeatable way to get eyeballs on what they’re doing. Because you can’t answer basic questions without traffic, like: - Is anyone clicking? - Is my page clear? - Do people care? - Is the problem my message, my page, or my offer?

Wholeheartedly agree with this, many people don’t give things enough time either, one link, a clear strategy and give it enough time to get some metrics then you can see where the drop offs are and fix the leaks
✨ A Quiet Intention for the Year Ahead
For some of you it’s Christmas Day, for others Boxing Day — either way, it feels like that soft in-between space where the noise drops and the year gently exhales. As I look toward the year ahead, one thing feels clearer than ever: I’m not interested in building bigger for the sake of it. I’m interested in building better. Better pace. Better boundaries. Better spaces where people feel safe enough to show up as they are — not as who they think they should be. This past year reminded me that community isn’t about constant posting, perfect positioning, or always having the right words. It’s about trust. It’s about listening. And sometimes, it’s about having the courage to name the thing that hasn’t been said yet. Next year, my intention is simple: • more depth, less noise • more honesty, less performance • more room for the human behind the business If you’re heading into the new year wanting to build something that feels sustainable, nourishing, and real — not just impressive on paper — you’re not alone. So I’ll leave this here, gently… What quiet or soft realisation are you taking into your community in 2026? 💛

@Julie Burns 100% I feel it’s hugely important to building trust too, if we can’t implement our own teachings how can we expect others to do it?
