Looking for opportunities, ideas, or mentorship
Hi everyone I am new here and trying to pivot my career. I have done a number of things from factory work to sales and I am really looking to fall into a career that offers flexibility and growth I am hard working, ambitious, and passionate about success. I have heard many things about the freight broker industry that has caught my attention. I willingly admit that I am new and do not possess a lot of knowledge about it, what I do possess is the ability and willingness to learn. I am currently seeking funding to take an online course to gain the insight I need to be successful and to prove that I am willing to put in the work but I am struggling to find what I need does anyone here have any ideas or insight on how I could potentially find my way into the industry or begin the process of learning the art of being a broker/agent. Of course I am understanding that I would more than likely have to operate as an agent before stepping out on my own for several reasons but I am open to any an all ideas or advice. Thanks for listening to what I had to say and any information or input would be very greatly appreciated šŸ‘

@Jason Vaughn You’ve got such a great mindset, Jason and you’re 100% right, it all comes down to sales, people skills, and consistency Freight brokering definitely takes dedication and that $2,200 investment is no small thing, but if you’re looking to build something while you learn and save, dropshipping could be a solid path in the meantime. It doesn’t require upfront inventory or a big investment just the willingness to learn how to market and manage an online store. It’s a great way to start generating income and building your business confidence before taking that bigger leap into freight. If you ever want me to walk you through what getting started looks like, I’d be happy to share a few simple steps

@Carla Westry Hey there, welcome! It’s great to have you here. That’s awesome that you’re looking into dispatching it’s a solid industry with lots of opportunities. Since you mentioned you’ve never heard of dropshipping, it’s actually a type of e-commerce business where you sell products online without keeping any inventory. When someone orders from your store, your supplier ships the product directly to the customer. You make a profit from the price difference and the best part is, you can start it with very little upfront cost. It’s flexible, simple to learn, and something you can even do part-time while building your freight career. Send a DM if you are ready to start and more info
From 0 to 6 Figures A Single Mom’s E-Commerce Journey
A few months ago, I took a leap of faith. As a single mom, I’ve always carried the weight of responsibility on my shoulders working multiple jobs, sacrificing sleep, and doing whatever it took to make sure my kids had what they needed. But I wanted more than just getting by. I wanted freedom, flexibility, and a future where I could provide my children with the life they truly deserve. That’s when I discovered e-commerce. I started with zero experience, zero following, and honestly, zero guarantees but I had one thing that mattered most: determination. Fast-forward a few months… I hit my first 6-figure milestone. What started as a small step turned into a life-changing journey. This isn’t just about money it’s about possibility. It’s proof that no matter your circumstances, you can build something amazing if you believe in yourself, stay consistent, and never give up. To every single mom out there chasing a dream keep going. Your breakthrough is closer than you think. šŸ’–

@Nestor Doris Wow, that’s impressive! šŸ‘ Six years in the markets takes real discipline and patience especially balancing both technical and fundamental sides. I really like your data-driven approach; it’s the key to long-term success in trading. Are you focusing mainly on Forex these days, or have you shifted more into crypto and commodities recently?

Looking for Drayage First Brokers
We’re on a mission to help drayage brokers secure freight without cold calling or long hours prospecting. As an ex broker I understand that the industry has it wrong. You shouldn’t have to be good at sales to perform well. There’s sales and there’s operations. Stop combining them because the industry has been doing so.

As a former broker, I’ve seen how the industry gets it wrong. You don’t have to be a salesperson to succeed sales and operations are two completely different skill sets. It’s time to stop forcing them together just because that’s how it’s always been done. There’s a better way and we’re building it.
