MCT oil
So I tried putting some MCT oil and collagen in my coffee before breakfast this morning. Look at the difference? Exact same breakfast, same portion size. Protein pancake bowl (Flourish pancake mix) with chia, flax, Greek yogurt and blueberries.

@Claire Sturgess I put in a teaspoon. It’s recommended to start small and then build up to a tablespoon to avoid GI issues.

It really works! My regular breakfast is a pancake bowl with Flourish protein pancake mix, chia and flax seeds, blueberries and Greek yogurt. On Monday, I ate it my usual way and today I had yogurt+seeds first and pancake mix/blueberries after. Here are my curves for both days! It’s not as delicious eaten separately, but interesting to see the difference!

Cereal before bed
I was never a snacker and always liked to have an early dinner and empty stomach before bed … until post partum breast feeding hunger. It hits hard especially right after dinner. All of a sudden I’m starving again as if I didn’t eat dinner and I feel so much “better” after a bowl of cereal (mesa sunrise gf flakes and added banana and almond milk). I knew there was likely more to the story of how I feel “better” after .. and the CGM confirms that. Big spike an hour later as seen on graph. Will be looking for a way to feel more satiated with the extra calories I need while BF (a very hungry baby), but without the spike 😅👍🏻

Interesting! I’ll try a higher protein/healthy fat snack tonight (probably yogurt with nuts and berries or something like that) and see if that eliminates the drop!
