I want to take a moment to talk about @Rayven Maalona ✨ Before joining the BBB 1on1 coaching program, she wanted to: - To be healthy and fit to where I can be active without feeling pain - Walk long distances or uphill without being tired - To not worry about being at risk of any health problems that run in her family - And to be fit enough to help my family if it ever came to them needing assistance. She struggled with knowing the very BASICS. And that's what most people actually need. Just to be pointed in the right direction. And to have real, human support sprinkled into it. The result? You can it hear it for yourself ♥️ We're so proud of you -- and we're thrilled that you're sharing your experiences in this community. Shoutout to coach @Tyler Lo for your unwavering support 💪

Hi everyone. I’m originally from the Algarve and currently living in Toronto. I’m working on building lean muscle and getting stronger. I love running, but really struggle with the gym side of things, which is where I'm hoping to learn from this community. I mostly eat whole foods, but probably not enough protein and likely way too many "healthy" cookies. 🍪

Welcome Onboard! You definitely in the right place... sounds like you have a good foundation already, as for the gym side start small with what you are comfortable with 1st and then build up from their, not only it will help you with building lean muscles, improve your running but you'll get stronger overall to prevent possible injuries from running... keep that in mind you got this 👍🏾👌🏾🏃‍♂️ You have everyone here to help if you have questions.

Your environment matters! This is what I’ve noticed every time I come to Taiwan. - wide roads and sidewalks - Rental Bike services everywhere - Normal portion sizes The only thing missing are accessible ready-to-drink protein shakes! Just thinking out loud! Do you agree about your environment?

Someone called me out at the airport 🥹
“You’re Darren, the fitness guy!” Man, I’ll never get bored of it, and it’ll always mean a lot to get stopped in public. The cool part is that it happened at Taipei airport! ☺️ We got people to inspire! Any food recommendations in Taipei??? PS I’m here to do a solo Hyrox race 💪💪

Oh man Tapei brings back good memories @Darren Liu I remember every food we ate there back in 2016 was amazing 👌🏾😋 one of the best holiday, we had alot fun with food.. we need to go back for round 2...
Saturday update
The start to my day was rough. Up at 4:30 for some reason but tried to get back to sleep until about 5:15 then I woke up for real. Got my protein and coffee. Got my carrots and raspberries plus an apple for the ride. The ride was good made it in good time but I was tired. 🥱 10 am my sister offered me breakfast. She was making egg and veggies for breakfast burritos. I took mine with I wrap. I didn’t take any bacon or sausage. Then we didn’t have anything else to eat really until we got to the bar. They ordered a fry and I ate some. 5pm we got to the restaurant and by then I was starving and that was not acceptable. I let myself go to bad. Here is the place I picked and I finished it clean nothing left behind. I will make better choices tomorrow and the rest of the weeks to come. I had a good time with my sister and that matters also.
