Spin Spin Spin all day everyday
Day 1
This post is for anyone who comes out of the gate hot in one area and not so much in another. I will also state the night isn’t over yet!!!! I have set a goal of Mind, Body, Spirit. I realized I’ve been feeling so tight—physically and mentally—like I’ve been holding everything in. So for this challenge, I’m adding in two things that I know I’ve been missing: ✨ Daily meditation — to slow down, breathe, and actually take care of my mindset, which actually is super important to me and Daily mobility work — because my body has been begging for it. And if I’m being honest… adding in that extra mobility today threw some things off. I’ve been running behind more than I’d like. Hence… if you were on the Monday call, you probably saw me 😅➡️ switching outfits mid-call➡️ and then hopping straight into my car. I ate lunch in the car and left my beautiful tuna sandwhich at home. So the calories were not what I wanted post workout. But instead of spiraling, I’m adjusting. This phase isn’t about perfection. It’s about realignment—getting back to feeling good, moving better, and taking care of myself as a whole. Also for the record 😂 I did not just eat Splenda — it was part of my proffee. And the night isn’t over… Clear might be coming in clutch to help me hit my protein.

@Ashlynn Dohman I should have time blocked it a little bit better. To be honest I need to pick the mobility pieces the night before. I went with a 20 minute class for it because the body was so tight and then the meditation. I just ate into the morning. However, I think it really set up some nice things. I got a PR on the Benchmark run and the cadence run. I am also trying to balance the cardio and strenth . I am not sure that I should have done cadence drills and HIT and HILLS spin, but I am going to really sit and try to map that out because I know I need zone II as well. I also need to fuel better.

10k Saturday
Had been signed up for my 1st race post surgery after being sick all week almost didn’t do it, but dragged myself out there, walked 95% of the 2nd half bc I had no “gas in the tank” after a week of barely eating & drinking but did the full 10k… and a bad ass medal for reward!! The theme was pirates so I had to switch up my typical race shorts bc I have pirate ones.. seemed like a no brainer! The hubs & my brother ran it too!!! Family affair

I had a big ol’ slice this morning with testing… 8 weeks of no strength training & last weeks stomach bug really gave me some perspective this morning during our challenge kick off testing.. but that’s ok, we are working to improve weaknesses this challenge! Happy Day 1 for those doing the challenge! Cannot wait to see us all stronger in 6 weeks! Mentally/physically & all around! 🩷 #gothrive
