OOTD all I've done today is walk my dog
I didn't look close enough when I ordered the jacket and it has a zipper inner lining with a high collar, I might have too many collars going on.

Boots with Zippers
Some time ago, a discerning member of the RMRS community posed a thoughtful inquiry regarding the propriety of adorning Western-style boots with zippers—an elegant debate, if I may say, though my recollection captures but the essence of that discourse. I find it fitting to assert with refined conviction that there are indeed occasions where zippers not only enhance the versatility of these iconic boots but emerge as an essential adaptation, as exemplified by my esteemed friend, a masterful custom bootmaker at Boots 'N Britches, who proudly crafts and wears such designs with impeccable grace. For those graced with prosthetics or navigating medical considerations that render the traditional slip-on a challenge, these bespoke modifications—evidenced by the pictured boot, where the zipper seamlessly integrates without compromising its quality or aesthetic allure—offer a harmonious blend of functionality and timeless Western sophistication.

I've shied away from zippers on boots after my first pair of work boots had them and they caused hot spots and compromised the flexibility and water resistance along the ankle, I have also seen a lot of my coworkers' boots fail pretty catastrophically at the zipper rendering them almost unusable. I'm borderline preachy about the advantages of speed laces on work boots now, at least for my job in EMS. When I worked 24 hour shifts out of a station, I could get speedlace boots on just as quickly and easily as zippers, and I still have my first pair of boots after about 7 years and never had to replace the laces or eyelets. That said, I'm all for it if it helps people with disabilities get into something they may not be able to wear otherwise, and cowboy boots are a great example. The examples you posted look high quality.

@Darren Poesel absolutely, there's no perfect boot for every situation.
When your Barber calls you
Recieved a call from Dave my barber and mate, “Hey Chad, what are you doing tonight and would you like to come and share a corporate box with me at tonight’s T20 international” Well there is only one answer to that and that’s an emphatic “He’ll yeah mate, I will be there” Dave knew he was going to call so he put his casual 3 piece into the car and well as it’s cold here I got to break out the overcoat again.

The coolest thing I've ever had a barber do was give me his personal phone number so I could get a "speakeasy" haircut at his home with impending Covid shutdowns in early 2020.
Studio Apartment | Living Space
Would love some feedback on my apartment. I live in a studio apartment and went for a 90s era aesthetic. My goal was to recreate the look of 1998. Thank you.

I was born in '94, I think a lot of what I remember from my early childhood may have been remnants from earlier times. I remember computers being this weird off-white beige color. My first car was a 1998 Honda Accord in a dark green paint color and the interior was a similar beige/tan color throughout. I remember warmer colored yellowish incandescent lightbulbs and streetlights. The clothing was a lot of bright teal, purple, bright vivid colors. Think old school NBA jerseys, the jazz pattern disposable cups, or modern Baja Blast. I remember furniture as being large, like it took up a whole wall to frame the big CRT television or computer. darker brown wood grain. My dad had a big stereo system that looked cutting edge at the time with a brushed stainless finish, but the massive speakers were a chestnut wood color with black. Inexplicably almost everyone had some sort of glass dolphin decoration in their living room. Wall art was always sort of strange, my parents had a big canvas painting that was reminiscent of a Picasso painting.

I've worked in EMS in a variety of locations since 2014, Paramedic since 2019. Outside of that I like spending time with my girlfriend and dog.
